Numeron Network
– #BLAR-EN026

During your Main Phase, send 1 “Numeron” Normal Spell Card that meets its activation conditions from your Deck to the GY; this effect becomes that Spell’s effect when that card is activated. You can only use this effect of “Numeron Network” once per turn. “Numeron” Xyz Monsters you control can activate effects without detaching material(s).

Time for Numeron Week and just like last week we’ll start with the most important card of the archetype: Numeron Network.

Numeron Network is a Field Spell that during your Main Phase can let you send a Numeron Normal Spell from Deck to grave that meets its activation conditions to make this effect become that Spell’s effect. Being able to use a Spell directly from Deck sounds pretty good in my eyes. So far we got two options: Numeron Calling and Rank-Up-Magic Numeron Force. Numeron Force is your standard RUM for being able to summon the Number C monsters while also negating the effects of all other cards on the field after resolution. Numeron Calling is probably the better card though for the current Numeron Engine and likely the target your playing for this, which we’ll discuss that tomorrow. That is a hard once per turn effect, which I guess makes sense so you aren’t using all your Spell effects in Deck. The second effects prevents you from having to detach materials to activate the effects of Numeron Xyz Monsters, which is a fine effect when you consider you’re most likely summoning those monsters without materials to begin with. Numeron Network is key for a Numeron strategy as an engine, mostly with Numeron Calling and all the Numeron Xyzs. It’s also easy to get with Numeron Wall, Planet Pathfinder, and Terraforming. It isn’t enough to be its own pure strategy, but it makes for a potent engine for a Deck that can fit it in.

Number week…Alex’s scowl will remain through Friday.  Numeron Network is a Field Magic card to open our week.  Despite my scowl, at least for today, this IS a good card.  This Field Magic lets you dump a Numeron Normal Magic from your Deck to your Graveyard and this card becomes that card with any effect(s) attached.  Rather than waiting to Draw the card you need or want, you can just dump it and use it immediately.  Once per turn, of course.  The real gem here though, not that the first effect is anything to scoff at, is the second one.  Being able for your numeron XYZ Monsters to use their effects without having to discard Material to do so.  The Material are still important…maybe you need to transfer them to another Monster, or still use them when this card is destroyed.  But getting their effects for free, even for a time, is very good.

Art:  5/5  This is very cool looking.  I’m not entirely sure what this is or is supposed to be but it looks very cosmic and alien, and I dig it.
