From the ultimate God over the Egyptian Gods to Dark Magician Girl #2, we got another card the TCG is waiting on for over a decade: Magi Magi Magicial Gal.

Magi Magi is a Rank 6 DARK Spellcaster with 2400 ATK and 2000 DEF. Decent stats, a good Type and Attribute as well. It takes 2 Level 6 Spellcasters to summon, which isn’t hard to do really. Dark Magician might not try to run multiple Dark Magician Girl to do it, but I guess Prophecy can do it with Reaper. We got a soft once per turn to detach a material from this card and to banish a card from your hand to either target a monster the opponent controls and take control of it until the End Phase or target a monster in the opponent’s graveyard and Special Summon it. So for a specific Rank 6 and a banish from hand, you either get a Change of Heart or Monster Reborn. It’s a little costly, but it can be worth it. If you just steal the opponent’s monster, you can at least use it as material for a summon so you don’t have to give it back, something you wouldn’t have to worry about if you reborn the monster from the grave. Both effects are decent, I just don’t know why you got to banish a card in the hand and detach a material when this already needs Level 6 Spellcasters to summon, but to be fair this was printed around the time we were getting the Prophecy cards. It’d be nice to get this so we have the proper card for Ebon Illusion Magician’s own effect to Xyz Summon itself using a Rank 6 Spellcaster, but I get Kazuki Takahashi doesn’t want to redraw this to censor it.

Advanced Rating: 2.5/5

Art: 5/5 Kazuki Takahashi always does great art for cards.
