Hello Pojo Fans,

Lunalight Fusion expands the power of Lunalights. An archetype fusion card searchable by Yellow Marten and Darling Cobra, Lunalight Fusion not only gives you another Fusion Spell alongside Poly, you can also use stuff from your deck or Extra Deck if your opponent has an Extra Deck monster on the field. With the turn one boards people often aim to make, this is an incredible option to have. It helps against a bad opening hand and thins your deck, while giving you an awesome monster. The option of also using a Lunalight from your Extra Deck makes your big Fusion monsters even easier to summon, as well as get the monster used from the Extra Deck into the grave to be Special Summoned back to the field. For the archetype this is a must.

Short and sweet today. Lunalight Fusion is the Shaddoll Fusion for Lunalights. You can only once per turn Fusion Summon a Lunalight Monster using monsters from your hand or field. If the opponent controls a monster Special Summoned from the Extra Deck, you get to use one Lunalight Monster from your deck or Extra deck as material. Is it strictly better than Shaddoll Fusion? That one lets you use all materials from the deck where as this one only lets you use Lunalight monsters. However, going from the Extra Deck to a boss monster from one card is great. And it’s searchable in Lunalights. Run all 3 because the whole point of the deck is to fuse.

Score: 4/5     Art: 4/5 Pretty, but kinda “flushing” looking.

Even though Lunalights had a Polymerization searcher, it is still odd that they didn’t get a Fusion Spell until now, and here it is, Lunalight Fusion.

Lunalight Fusion is a Normal Spell that lets you Fusion Summon a Lunalight Fusion from your Extra Deck using monsters from your hand or field as material, but if your opponent controls a monster that is Special Summoned from the Extra Deck then you can also use a Lunalight monster from your Extra Deck as material. Well it is another Fusion Spell that is searchable off Yellow Marten after you use it with Polymerization I guess, but that second effect is nice cause your opponent will likely have a monster Special Summoned from the Extra Deck and there are two Lunalight Fusions that require a specific Fusion Monster as material for their Fusion Summon. If you can already facilitate that Fusion Monster, whether it is because you control it or used Fusion Tag, then you can send their newest Fusion from the Extra Deck for a Fusion Summon and get an effect with it in the GY later on. You only get to use one Lunalight Fusion per turn, probably cause of that Extra Deck sending effect, but that’s fine. Sure Lunalights already had a searcher for Polymerization, but Yellow Marten can search for this as well to extend Fusion Plays, so I see no reason not to run two of this I guess.

Art: 4/5 Fusions = Swirls, but this one looks beautiful as well with those two Lunalights and the moon in the background.

Lunalight Fusion is a Normal Magic card, and a good one for the theme, at that.  The Fusion effect is pretty simple and standard, gaining a theme Fusion Monster using the necessary requirements from your Hand or Field.  You get the added Bonus of being able to retrieve a piece for the Fusion from your Deck if your opponent has an Extra Deck Monster out via Special Summon, which should be easy enough to accomplish.

You’re only allowed to use one of these per turn, surprise, but that’s enough.  There’s not a whole lot more to say.  This card itself is searchable via Yellow Marten (as was reviewed yesterday) and it’s cool to see a theme specific Fusion card here that is fairly versatile.  Anything that helps with Fusion for a theme is usually good, and this is no exception.

Rating:  3.75/5

Art:  3.5/5  The picture is fine, if not a little bland.  The dark and light is cool, and swirls are generic for Fusion in Yugioh.
