We first reviewed this card on Pojo when it came out in 2002. I love seeing those 22 year old reviews, especially Pokepop’s! This card was basically Charizard’s Base Set equivalent. It was always more of a collectors card than a playable card. That one attack is too costly, and too difficult to build up and keep going.

Conclusion:
Lugia Neo Genesis is a must-have for any Pokemon collector. It is one of the most popular and valuable Pokemon cards of all time. Its stunning artwork and shimmering foil make it a true collector’s item. You just can’t build a competitive deck around it.
