Hand Destruction is a very simple QuickPlay Spell Card that makes both players send 2 cards from the hand to the grave to then draw 2 cards. Cards that have unpredictable outcomes are usually not good. However, if you know what your opponent is running, then this makes an excellent side deck card. It will also benefit you since you are hopefully ditching cards with good effects. All that being true, there are much better side deck and main deck cards that can guarantee only advantage for you and not the opponent. Finally, this and Dark Bribe could help the opponent deck out if that were ever a viable strategy. Happy Friday!

We end this week off with a card TCG only puts in their Structure Decks because OCG puts Card Destruction in their versions despite it being banned for us, Hand Destruction.

Hand Destruction is a Quick-Play Spell that makes both players send 2 cards from the hand to the GY to draw 2 cards in return. If neither player can ditch two when this would be activated, it cannot be activated, so don’t think you can discard one to draw two. For you, this is a three for two, meaning you are going minus one unless you got some GY effects. This does not trigger Dark Worlds or Fabled monsters since it is sending to the GY and not discarding, so maybe Burning Abyss monsters would be better, even though they are perfectly fine and better off without this. For the opponent, you are giving them an chance to unbrick their hand, which is something you shouldn’t be helping them accomplish. Sure you can also potentially make them discard good cards, but you likely won’t know that upon activation. Hand Destruction is a risky card that honestly isn’t worth playing except in niche decks, cause advantage can go in your opponent’s favor with this.

Hand Destruction closes my random week (a friend of mine from Twitter more or less fan requested this, and it fits the no theme going, so here we are).  First, and most importantly, for those who may not be aware, the cost of discarding two cards MUST be able to be done by both players, or this isn’t going to work.  So no loopholes there.  After, both players Draw 2 cards.  You know, I like to think of this as one of those Morphing Jar type cards, where it can really benefit you; but, it could also really benefit your opponent also/instead.  This is a 3-for-2 for you, potentially more, like most effects like this, if you can trigger or gain something from your Deck or Graveyard based on what you dumped (or even gained).  But what I really like is this is a chance card (not in the silly way like dice cards are in Yugioh) but it’s a smart players’ card, and one that you know could help the other player as well (or not, just as possible as it could, as referenced earlier).  It’s not a game breaking meta card or anything, but it isn’t garbage either, hence
