Hello Pojo Fans,

Full-Armored Xyz is the Trap we’ve been waiting for: the card, alongside Armored Xyz that makes the archetype go.

Normal Trap that can make an Xyz Summon happen on your opponent’s turn, which can save smaller monsters as long as you have two or more of the same Level monsters on your field. This is useful in targeting situations or when you’re about to lose in a battle through attacking or effect(s).

The real use for this card is through banishing it to equip an Xyz Monster as an Equip Spell to another Xyz Monster. Slower than the previously mentioned Armored Xyz, but giving an Xyz a major ATK boost is worth the wait. We’re talking in terms of the “Full-Armored” archetype a 2500ATK boost. 5000ATK or higher is taking down conceivably anything in the game, and if it is Torpedo attached to something like Fortress you gain that added protection from Torpedo while attacking. On top of that, Full-Armored Xyz has a one-time protection built into the monster it equips. You lose out on your Equip Spell, but your monster lives to fight another day. Combined with Armored Xyz you could attach two Xyz Monsters, and you could equip say Torpedo through Armored Xyz so you wouldn’t have to detach it for the protection ability this card imbues the attached Xyz Monster with.

Slow, yes, all Traps minus Counter Traps are. Instant gratification with Armored Xyz is preferred but Full-Armored Xyz is needed to get the most out of your Xyz climbing and the added ATK and protection are well-worth the wait.

Midweek brings us to the Trap you intend to search off of Xyz Armor Fortress: Full-Armored Xyz.

Full-Armored Xyz is a Normal Trap that on activation lets you Xyz Summon any Xyz by using monsters you control, only if you already control an Xyz Monster. Solid for any Xyzs that would like to be summoned on the opponent’s turn. The main goal is to get this into the graveyard really, so make sure you got something you can Xyz Summon to begin with so you can activate this card and get it into the grave. Once there, you can banish it to target an Xyz Monster you control to equip another Xyz Monster from your face-up field or graveyard to it as an Equip Spell with the effects where the equipped monster gains the ATK of whatever you equip to it, and you can destroy the equip instead if the equipped monster would be destroyed by battle or card effect. Basically a powerup to your Xyz Monster by using Xyzs that are sitting in the graveyard more than likely, and also giving the boosts of the Xyz Armor cards we already looked at. This also triggers the effect of the card we’ll look at on Friday, so that’ll be a nice bonus when we get to it. It’s a fine card you play with this whole Armored Xyz package since the payoff is a decently strong monster that can serve as a solid interruption against the opponent, and it only requires at least the lone spot in the Main Deck alongside a few Extra Deck cards. Decent little play this allows.

Art: 2/5 Once we see Armored Xyz, we’ll really notice how it’s basically the same and kind of boring.

The card that makes Armored go ‘round, Full-Armored Xyz is a Normal Trap, searchable by Xyz Armor Fortress. When activated, you can immediately Xyz Summon a monster with monsters you control. The vast majority of the time you’ll be ranking up Xyz Armor Fortress into the archetype’s new boss, which doesn’t trigger anything on its own, but that’s where the second effect comes in! By banishing Full-Armored Xyz from your Graveyard, you can Equip an Xyz monster from your field or Graveyard to an Xyz monster you control, boosting its attack by the equipped monster’s attack and letting you destroy the equipped monster to save it from being destroyed by battle or card effect. Equipping will trigger the boss’s Xyz material absorption effect for disruption, and being able to equip Xyz Armor Torpedo or Fortress is an excellent bonus. Not much to complain about this card, other than the fact it might’ve been a little more useful as a Quick-Play Spell, though it’s already very strong as-is thanks to its synergy. Basically, THE Armored Xyz card to search off of Fortress.

+Potent disruption and bonus effects through the basic Armored combos
-Has to be set first as a Trap
