New Neos support means we get new Neos Fusions, which I can appreciate, and here’s a good Fusion in Elemental HERO Brave Neos.

Brave Neos is a Level 7 LIGHT Warrior Fusion with 2500 ATK and 2000 DEF. Having the protagonist stats, and the same as Neos, is fine since they aren’t terrible, and being a LIGHT Warrior is pretty nice. The Fusion Materials are Elemental HERO Neos and any Level 4 or lower Effect Monster, which all the Neo-Spacians are, so this is easy to summon once you get to Neos or Elemental HERO Prisma to change to Neos, or you can just use Neos Fusion to clear the deck. This isn’t a Contact Fusion, meaning it doesn’t have that ability to go back to the Extra Deck, which is great even if this might take up an Extra Monster Zone, but you can Link Summon if you really want to get this out of there. Brave Neos must be Fusion Summoned, just like literally any Elemental HERO Fusion basically. Brave Neos gains 100 ATK for every HERO and Neo-Spacian monster in your graveyard, so this can easily get to 3000 ATK since loading the grave isn’t that hard in a Neos deck. When this card destroys an opponent’s monster by battle, you can add a Spell/Trap from the deck to the hand that specifically lists Elemental HERO Neos in its text. There are great options for this effect like Miracle Contact, Neos Fusion, and NEXT to help you make other plays, so searching for those cards is nice, especially on an easy to summon Fusion. Brave Neos is one of the better Fusions the deck has access to, so playing two can work for maximizing searching for those important Spells and Traps.

Art: 4/5 Neos has hit the gym it seems, and got a little bit more armor.

I’m sure y’all saw this coming (and don’t see surprises the rest of the week) but Elemental Hero Brave Neos bridges things here for midweek.  Level 7, Light, Warrior, 2500/2000 attack and defense (it’s a Neos clone!) who requires Neos and a Level 4 or lower Effect Monster for a Fusion Summon.  That’s an oddly open and easy to fulfill requirement.

This guy doesn’t do much with his first effect.  100 attack for each Neo-Spacian and Hero in your Graveyard.  I get that could add up FAST, as they’re easy to get to the Graveyard, but even 200 would have been something decent…that’s just such a paltry amount, it makes me wonder why they even bothered with it.  But there’s fun to be had in the second effect.

Hero Fusion Monsters generally aren’t searchers, and you have to attack and destroy a Monster to get it, but when Brave Neos does, you get a Magic or Trap card from your Deck added to your Hand that specifically has Neos in its text.  I wish that were open to Hero in general and/or Neo-Spacian, but I guess that’d be too good of a search since you can potentially get it multiple times.

There’s still good cards specific to Neos you can fetch, and even bringing Neos back from the Grave to your Hand (or Field) is worth doing for the player.  A nice new Fusion with a new spin on things.

Art:  3.5/5  Meh, He really is TOO much like Neos, the moderation to his art here isn’t very good, and I don’t get a brave feel from him (in fact, he has darker artwork on his costume).  The bright space behind him (and what may be the explosion/formation of an atom?) is cool as hell.
