Hello Pojo Fans,

Cyberdark Realm is another Cyberdark searcher card, something you think they would’ve had when first introducing the archetype.

Continuous Spell RoTA for a Cyberdark monster, but it has to be a different one from any Cyberdark monster in your grave. First turn this is gold (obviously), but later on unless you get rid of some in the grave you may have a tough search. Extra Normal Summon for a Cyberdark monster gives the archetype some more offensive capabilities, enabling a Link 2 and doubling their chance at using their effects. Being able to equip from your opponents graveyard instead of your helps keep monsters in your grave, but with your monsters needing Level 3 or lower Dragon-Type monsters or in the case of the throwback Fusion: 1 Dragon-Type monster, you are restricted to attaching those from your opponents grave, and that makes it highly unlikely that you’ll be using this part of the card (especially with Rank and Link being a thing).

The extra Normal Summon and the immediate RoTA are great and needed for the archetype. If you get to attach from your opponent’s graveyard, that’s good as well, but don’t sweat not being able to use this part of the card.

Who likes searching? I guess Cyberdarks do with a third seach card in Cyberdark Realm.

Cyberdark Realm is a Continuous Spell that upon activation searches any Cyberdark monster with a different name from the cards in your graveyard. Basically it’s finally a good way to search for Cyberdark Cannon or Cyberdark Claw to use those to search more cards while putting a Dragon in grave for your regular Cyberdark monsters, which is pretty good. You can search Cyberdark Chimera straight up if Cannon is already in grave, or get one of the original three if you need any of those. You also get a Main Phase effect to immediately Normal Summon a Cyberdark monster in addition to your Normal Summon/Set that turn, helping get another body on board, especially in a Cyber Dragon and Cyberdark mix where you likely Normal Summoned a Cyber Dragon Core. This is the lone hard once per turn effect on Cyberdark Realm, which is fine. You also get a final effect where you can equip monsters from the opponent’s grave when Cyberdark monsters would equip to themselves on their Normal/Special Summon, which I don’t know how much this will be relevant, but it’s an option. You also can only activate this once a turn, mostly to limit the search effect as well. Realm is another pretty good Cyberdark card to get to your other cards and get you more Normal Summons to ensure you can get Cyberdark Chimera out.

Art: 2/5 This does somewhat look like a Field Spell, and not much of an interesting one at that.

In what looks, feels, tastes, and acts like a Field Magic, here’s a Continuous Magic in Cyberdark Realm.  Optional but open Cyberdark fetch upon activation, so long as your choice is differently named then the ones in your Graveyard.  So this card is going to get really bad the longer the Duel goes.  You want this as early as you can, or that Effect you may not always be able to take advantage of.  Immediately after activation, during your Main Phase, you CAN get another Normal Summon (yuck, but can be helpful) of a Cyberdark.  This second Effect is limited to once per Turn.  If you Equip a Monster from the Grave via a Cyberdark Effect so long as that card had been Normal/Special Summoned, yields you the ability to snipe the Equips from your opponent.  That’s a fun and unique twist that could really come to peeve them off.  But I don’t see that disruption being frequent or damaging enough to be worthwhile.  It can be, and it will be, but how often?  The one activation of these a Turn I get, probably the Normal Summon part in the middle, despite that being limited in the card text.

Art:  This is fun.  The Monsters here almost look like they’ve been cocooned like Neo-Spacians lol.  3.75/5

Whoops, I missed Cyberdark Chimera yesterday! No fret, it’ll come up a lot in these coming reviews. This week’s theme is the new Cyberdark support featured in the Cyber Strike structure deck. Cyberdark Realm is a continuous spell with quite a few effects. Upon activation, you can search any Cyberdark monster. The most likely candidates will be Cyberdark Cannon to fill the graveyard and fetch yesterday’s Cyberdark Chimera for Power Bond plays, or Cyberdark Claw to search Cyberdark Horizon (which we’ll cover tomorrow) or any other Cyberdark spell or trap, depending on what you need. You can only activate Cyberdark Realm once per turn, so don’t even think about searching for another one.

Speaking of once per turn effects, you can also activate Realm during your main phase to immediately normal summon a Cyberdark monster. While it’s clearly intended to allow you to normal summon the OG trio of Cyberdark Horn, Edge, and Keel, you’ll probably be using it to summon Cyberdark Chimera instead since it has to be on the field to search Power Bond. The last effect is rather strange, as it allows you to equip monsters from your opponent’s graveyard as well when you use the trademark Cyberdark effects. The upcoming Cyberdark End Dragon doesn’t really need this, and the others need to equip specific types of monsters, so you’ll need a type-changing effect to get the most mileage out of this consistently. Still, Realm is an excellent card for Cyberdark and makes it much more consistent.

Advanced: 4/5
Art: 3.5/5 It kind of looks like cyberdarks hatch from eggs, which is cute in a creepy sort of way
