Hello Pojo Fans,

Cyber Emergency is the Throwback Thursday choice., a young throwback, and needed in the deck.

LIGHT Machine searcher that cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. You can also search a Cyber Dragon, but for this week it is all about Drytron. Any Drytron monster, including the Ritual Monster can be searched by this. They cycle-back ability off this card getting negated is good to have, but you don’t get to use the card until your next turn. There’s a host of cards that benefit from being sent/in the graveyard, but you’d rather use stuff to get them there and benefit from it, like Drytron tributing to gain their effects. The first effect is the best part of the card and give Drytron a RoTA not from one of their own monsters.

Throwback Thursday gives us on paper what looks like Cyber Dragon support, but can be used elsewhere like with Drytrons: Cyber Emergency.

Cyber Emergency is a Normal Spell that lets you search for either any LIGHT Machine that cannot be Normal Summoned or Set or instead search for any Cyber Dragon Monster. In Drytrons, this is obviously another way to get to the name you want access to for its effect and Cyber Dragons can get their plays started with this by searching Core, Nachster, Herz, or even the og Cyber Dragon. The first bit seems like they wanted Cyber Eltanin to be searchable off this as well, which is appreciated to have access to that in Cyber Dragons if needed. The second effect is where if the activation of this card in your possession is negated by the opponent, you can add it from the graveyard back to the hand by discarding a card. Nice recovery to get your searcher back just in case it is negated, you’d like to see this on more searchers. You can only activate 1 of these a turn, but if the activation is negated, I presume you can activate it again after recovering it. Either way it’s a great searcher for Cyber Dragon, and Drytron has proven that this could find a new home elsewhere if the right cards come along. Also, Cyber Dragon Core searches this, which is another plus.

Art: 3/5 Don’t see the Cyber Dragon relation, but it’s fine I guess.

Cyber Emergency is a wonderful little Magic card in this Theme and beyond, and perfect for Throwback Thursday this week.  A Normal Magic that allows you to add a Light/Machine to your Hand from your Deck (so long as it can’t be Normal Summoned/Set) OR you can choose a Cyber Dragon Monster.  If this card’s activation (by its owner) is negated by your opponent’s Card Effect and sent to your Grave, you can discard a card to add it back to your Hand.  Which is cool, this is a breakeven for you if you can skip over this part, but one of those awesome breakeven plays that should net you some positive advantage.  You can only activate one per turn, so if you get it back, no using it again that Turn.  I don’t think this card is so good that was necessary, but it’s likely more so you don’t spam/swarm the Field with three Monsters at once.  Including the Cyber Dragons that does leave quite a window of what you could storm the Field with.

Art:  Ehh 4/5  I mean, I like the Dragons (and how demonic? they are) chasing after the ship, I like the cosmic-esque picture, but it’s still lacking.
