Hello Pojo Fans,

Absorouter Dragon continues Rokket support into the start of this week.

Never like seeing a Level 7 with 1200ATK (great DEF though). Special Summon if you have a Rokket, so there goes the summon issue. Restriction on the times you can summon Absoroutter per turn prevents Rank 7 spam and Link spam as well. Search when sent to the grave in any fashion essentially guarantees you will be getting a Rokket monster for you to use. Link Absorouter away, Synchro, Fusion, tribute with effect, get that Rokket monster RoTA. This is a good card for Rokkets to get an immediate search with that they won’t have to wait until the End Phase to benefit from, and this doesn’t need a Link monster activating an effect to trigger as well.

More Structure Deck cards this week with a card that supports Rokkets without being a Rokket in name, Absorouter Dragon.

Abosrouter Dragon is a Level 7 DARK Dragon with 1200 ATK and 2800 DEF. Very good DEF makes up for low ATK, DARK and Dragon are still good, and I’m glad the archetype gets a good Level 7 to use with Rokket Synchro to go into Borreload Savage Dragon. The first effect is that if you control a Rokket monster, you can Special Summon this guy from the hand and you can only Special Summon this card once per turn this way. So no spamming the field with these, but still it’s a very easy card to get onto the field for a Link Summon, Synchro Summon, Xyz Summon (Rokkets got a Level 7 Rokket), or just a big defensive wall. If it does go to the graveyard by any way, shape, or form from literally anywhere, you can search the deck for any Rokket monster and of course this is a hard once per turn. Dragon Shrine, Foolish Burial, Dragon Ravine, Link Summoning, Synchro Summoning, getting this in the graveyard should be no issue whatsoever meaning that search should be easy for something like probably Rokket Tracer considering how good that is or any other Rokket to target with a Borrel monster to get whatever effect you need. It’s a free monster on board and a free Rokket search when it goes to the graveyard, it’s just great overall.

While not a Rokket, we open the week with a nice piece of Rokket support, in Absorouter Dragon.  1200 attack is troublesome on a Level 7 Monster, but it has a very nice 2800 defense behind it.  Not being named x-Rokket does hurt some synergy with this card, despite both of the attached effects, and being a Dragon gives you lots of benefits as well.

Controlling a Rokket Monster lets you Special Summon this card, albeit, only from your Hand.  Throw this guy out in defense position, and your opponent is likely going to have to use an effect or Magic/Trap card to get past that 2800 defense.  You can only Special Summon him once a turn, and given the ease attached in how, I find that a necessary restriction in this case.

If sent to the Graveyard (no stipulation as to how or by which player) you get a nice 1-for-1 in losing this card and gaining any Rokket Monster from your Deck to your Hand.  It doesn’t replace back to the Field (and this is only a once per turn effect as well) but you do replace your lost resource, so that’s a really good thing too.  Great card for the Deck, even without the name.

Art:  4/5  Fun, if not a little bland.  The body and colors here are nice, I like the mechanical feel, and most of the background blue seems to match the majority of the body.
