I talked about him yesterday, so here he is: Vicious Astraloud.

Vicious Astraloud is a Level 8 DARK Fairy Fusion with 3000 ATK and DEF. Stats are very good, but the combination of DARK and Fairy just feels weird here for some reason. Anyways, Fusion Materials are Visas Starfrost and any monster with 1500 ATK/2100 DEF and it must be Special Summoned from the Extra Deck by banising the above cards from your field and/or graveyard. Thankfully doesn’t need to be hard Fusion Summoned, and some of the dedicated Visas Decks can easily summon this. Scareclaw has Scareclaw Reichheart, Tearlaments has Tearlaments Reinoheart, Mannadium has Mannadium Riumheart, and even if you wanted to stretch things you got Kashtira Riseheart in Kashtira. I imagine this fuses with Reichheart and Riumheart more often than not since you only really see Visas Starfrost played in Scareclaw, Mannadium, or a mix of the two, but still it’s super easy to summon and forgiving for you using the materials it needs as Synchro Material first to send them to grave. It cannot be destroyed in battle, which usually isn’t too relevant on a 3000 body. Finally, upon being Special Summoned, you can target another monster on the field and destroy it to then have this card gain ATK equal to half that monster’s ATK or DEF (whichever’s higher). Nice little spot removal on a monster as easy to summon and usually as free as this. No once per turn clauses anywhere means you could destroy up to 3 cards if you can summon 3 of this with enough fuel to do so. Even if not, just 1 is good enough to get rid of a threatening monster and have this as a beatstick to run over monsters, or use as a Level 8 to help go into Level 10 Synchros in Mannadium. It’s a pretty solid card overall, recommended for your Scareclaw Mannadium goodstuff.

Art: 5/5 I guess whatever happened to Visas wasn’t kind to him.
