Time magazine is celebrating 25 years of Pokémon in America with this 2024 publication available on newsstands right now! I picked up my copy at Meijer from the check lane display. There’s an interview with Satoshi Tajiri from 1999 inside but the magazine is copyright 2024, so it has updated content. I think this is a definite must get for long time fans and there are four different covers if you gotta catch ’em all. Yellow was my first Pokémon franchise RPG, so I selected Pikachu. I got into Pokémon via the anime, Pikachu won my heart.
A radio DJ recently asked, Charlie Brown and Snoopy, or Ash and Pikachu. I turned 60 last year, grew up with Peanuts, however… I have to say Ash and Pikachu. My rabbits were my best buddies and Pikachu reminded me of that bond, even though I am a sucker for Snoopy and Woodstock. Yellow is a good color when it comes to best buddies, Pika!
