S-Force Pla-Tina – #BLVO-EN015

Each of your opponent’s monsters in the same column as one of your “S-Force” monsters loses 600 ATK. If this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can target 1 of your banished “S-Force” monsters, except “S-Force Pla-Tina”; Special Summon it. You can only use this effect of “S-Force Pla-Tina” once per turn.

Hello Pojo Fans,

S-Force Pla-Tina pairs with Chiyomaru to immediately get back what Chiyomaru cost you.

Level 6, 2200ATK isn’t the best starting stats, but Pla-Tina makes up for it with her second effect. Her first effect, while appreciated, is likely not going to make too much of a difference. 600ATK is a weird amount for opponent monsters to lose. Your opponent isn’t likely to avoid the column-based advantages “S-Force” monsters give one another unless the monster would be weaker than Pla-Tina. The drop does prevent her from being defeated in battle in the same column with anything less than 2800ATK. The Special Summon of a banished “S-Force” monster off her Special Summon is what makes her good. Chiyomaru will banish an “S-Force” monster to fuel her effect, and Pla-Tina can bring it to the field (as long as it isn’t a copy of herself). With each “S-Force” monster having their own effect for column-based strategies, as well as an effect for their own Normal or Special Summon, the combo of Chiyomaru and Pla-Tina can give you two monsters that control your opponents moves better. Pla-Tina and Laser will get you what you need for the Link monster we’ll be reviewing at the end of the week: S-Force Justify, and that would be all off of Chiyomaru banishing Laser to get to Pla-Tina: two cards for a Link 3 monster is pretty good.

Pla-Tina by herself isn’t a great monster. Used in conjunction with other monsters within the archetype to get her to the field easier make her a much better card.

Next up let’s see the best summon from the Deck off Rappa, S-Force Pla-Tina.

Pla-Tina is a Level 6 DARK Spellcaster with 2200 ATK and 2000 DEF. Decent Level 6 stats, DARK is still good, and Spellcaster just adds Magicians’ Souls synergy if you want. Pla-Tina’s effect with opponent’s monsters in the same column as your S-Force is that they lose 600 ATK, which can be nice to help get over bigger monsters since the biggest S-Force monster is 2600 ATK in the Extra Deck and here with 2200 ATK with Pla-Tina in the Main. Pla-Tina on Normal or Special Summon lets you target a different banished S-Force monster and Special Summon it. Good synergy with Rappa since she banishes an S-Force from hand, likely a monster to summon off Pla-Tina to get that monster on field. You could use field presence as well if you want the archetype’s Link-3, considering you have to use 3 monsters to summon it, including an S-Force monster which that part shouldn’t be an issue in S-Force. Pla-Tina also gets more monsters in the same column as the opponent’s so you can make use of more S-Force effects. Her summon effect is a hard once per turn, which is fine cause you create a scenario of a lot of field swarming if that wasn’t there. Either way, Pla-Tina is a must for S-Force as well with her synergy with Rappa and having access to Magicians’ Souls if you wish.

S-Force Pla-Tina compliments the Theme, and yesterdays card well.  Dark/Spellcaster are a great supported pair.  2200 attack on a Level 6 isn’t great but not awful.  The column effect here lowers all your opponents Monsters attack by 600 if they match up with one of these guys or his friends.  600 is a fair drop, it makes your bosses slightly easier to take down and mid or low level Monsters incredibly easy to.  Once a turn, if this card is Normal or Special Summoned, you can Special Summon a Theme Monster that’s been removed from play.  Great conjunction there as I said earlier making this card float well too.  It’s fairly dependent on what’s out of okay already but better with more   Still very good.
