Ojama Pink – #BLVO-EN036

If this card is sent from the hand or field to the GY: You can activate this effect; each player draws 1 card, then each player discards 1 card, then, if you discarded an “Ojama” card, you can choose 1 opponent’s unused Monster Zone, and it cannot be used until the end of your opponent’s turn. You can only use this effect of “Ojama Pink” once per turn.

Hello Pojo Fans,

Ojama Pink is the newest in line for the Ojama archetype.

Once it hits the grave you can activate its effect, it is optional. Dark World Dealings style effect, but, if you discard an “Ojama” card you lock your opponent out of a monster zone for the rest of the turn. I could see this being useful during your opponents turn to stop them from using the Extra Monster Zone for a Link Summon, but other than that, I’m not liking the rest. You don’t want to give your opponent a draw and discard unless you are doing something like an OTK/FTK strategy where their card won’t matter. Another way to discard an “Ojama” card to plus off it like Ojamagic from long long ago, but I feel ike there’s better cards out there that can do that. Honestly, this feels like just a monster form of Dark World Dealings that will go the extra yard if you discard an “Ojama” card. Ojama Country pairs well with this card as well, Ojama Duo can be put in the grave from the hand using this card.

I guess it’s good because the archetype needs as much support as it can get, if it needs any more at all.

We got new Armed Dragon cards, so why not add a new Ojama to the mix since they kinda support Armed Dragons as well? Here’s Ojama Pink.

Ojama Pink is a Level 2 LIGHT Beast with 0 ATK and 1000 DEF. Same stats as all the regular Ojamas, which aren’t too great, LIGHT is nice, and I like Level 2 Beasts. If Ojama Pink is sent from the hand or field to the graveyard, you can make each player draw a card and then discard a card, then if you discarded an Ojama card with this effect, you can choose an opponent’s unoccupied Main Monster Zone and have it be unable to be used until the end of the opponent’s turn. I don’t like it letting the opponent draw and discard as well, but it helps you somewhat to discard Ojamagic to search the three original Ojamas. It’s easy to send this to grave as well with Ojamatch or Ojama Country discarding this or using Ojama Red to summon this and other Ojamas for Links. Locking the opponent’s monster zone can be nice to limit their plays, especially if you can add this with Ojama King or Ojama Knight. This effect on Ojama Pink is a hard once per turn, which might be a little unnecessary considering how weak Ojamas can be. Either way, the card is fine for the Ojama strategy and is worth using. It isn’t insane, but having another name in the Deck that isn’t a vanilla is appreciated.

Art: 3/5 I mean, it’s an Ojama, so it’s gonna be ugly. Stays true to source material at least.

Ojama Pink shares the same stats on paper as it’s brethren, whatever they all happen to be called.  We see if this card goes to the Grave from the Hand or Field we get to have each player a draw and then Discard a card.  And Discarding an Ojama card makes you render one of your opponent’s Monster Zones unusable until the end of their Turn.  This card is as good as what’s around at the time to combo with it.  Fairly uninspiring on its own though.  But it should be useful in the Theme sometimes.
