If you’re familiar with Mercadian Masques or Time Spiral, you undoubtedly recognize Arcane Adaptation as a color-shifted – and significantly less costly – version of Conspiracy. The original’s cost is perhaps more of a recognition of the effect’s enormous impact, but Arcane Adaptation’s cost makes it certain to find a niche in tribal decks everywhere. Between this card and Aether Revolt’s Metallic Mimic, it’s a good year for obscure tribes and for universal tribal decks everywhere – sleeve up those Imperious Perfects and get ready to name “Jellyfish”!
