This is one of those effects that just hits you in the face when you read it. It certainly changes a game when it resolves, although it’s worth noting that you still have to cast the spells you get back to your hand in the normal manner. This means you’ll probably have to cast it at the end of an opponent’s turn and then untap, which also somewhat decreases the awkwardness of its mana cost. It’s not the most practical card all around; something like Omniscience could be a good partner for it, and would certainly get around the problem of its mana cost, but then drawing Harness Infinity without Omniscience would put you right back at the start in terms of awkwardness (not to mention you now need ten mana incorporating UUU). Still, I think if you manage to actually cast this, you’ve probably earned that big finish!

Constructed: 2/5
Casual: 4/5 (this is exactly the kind of card I’d expect to see in a casual article in Wizards’ old Serious Fun column, or Magic Deck Vortex, if either of those still existed)
Limited: 3/5 (this might be optimistic, but if you manage to actually cast it, you’ll have your pick of the best stuff you’ve already cast before)
Multiplayer: 3/5
Commander: 3/5

Harness Infinity is a very mythic-rare effect, and a well-timed one can guarantee your next turn is explosive, thanks to it being an instant and in a color that does lots of graveyard shenanigans. Seven mana is a tall order, especially with very particular color demands, but Harness Infinity offers a massive pay-off. I feel like it’s a strong casual card, but it’s a hard card to readily abuse, and graveyard hate is hardly its friend. Definitely powerful and will make lots of waves, but it’s not an unbeatable ace and should not be treated as such.
