From Yugi to Joey we got one of his iconic monsters that isn’t Red-Eyes, Gearfried the Iron Knight.
Gearfried is a Level 4 EARTH Warrior with 1800 ATK and 1600 DEF. Great stats and a great Type/Attribute combo overall. The only effect Gearfried has is to destroy any Equip Card that this would equip to it. So back in the day, it’s a nice Snatch Steal counter and it helps FTK with Butterfly Dagger – Elma and Royal Magical Library in an Exodia strategy. Now you don’t really see any Equip Spells that would equip to your own monster to hurt you and you don’t really have an Equip Spell you’d want this to destroy with Smoke Grenade of the Thief banned. Still a cool card with decent stats and I’m sure something can be released that abuses this effect, but for now it has no real use.
