Hello Pojo Fans,

Fire Week on CoTD but not the Flamvell archetype, we’ve got FIRE Warrior-Types, starting with Evocator Eveque.

Gemini monster with searcher-like stats. If you get a chance to perform another summon on it, you get a Marauding Captain effect from the grave. Either FIRE Warrior or Gemini does give you a lot of flexibility in what you can run, however you’re likely to run this in FIRE Warriors because of Attribute and Type synergy which Gemini typically don’t have. Getting this effect will take you to your Extra Deck for sure, with your choices depending on what you target. Rank 4 is standard, Link 2 into Isolde is also a typical option. While I don’t think you’d see this in the archetype, Battlin’ Boxers getting non-archetype support in 2020 is kind of funny. Igknight also benefit from this, but the real archetype benefiting from this are the new Infernoble Knights. Because its effect triggers upon summon, using Supervise wouldn’t help, which is a downer because Noble Knight and Infernoble Knights go through and recycle Equip Spells like no other.

Use another monster or means to Special Summon this, use your Normal Summon and get another monster off of Evocator. Gemini are slow, but there are many MANY more ways of Special Summoning them than there were when first released.

It’s now time for some Gemini-FIRE-Warrior-Equip goodstuff by looking at a rare Gemini Monster as we don’t get many of those anymore, so here is Evocator Eveque.

Eveque is a Level 4 FIRE Warrior Gemini with 1500 ATK and 1000 DEF. FIRE and Warrior look good right now with Infernoble Knights being a thing, though the stats leave more to be desired. It is a Gemini, so you get all that stuff where it’s treated as a Normal Monster while on field or in grave and you need to Gemini Summon it to gain the effect. Once you do Gemini Summon it, it gains the effect that if it’s Normal or Special Summoned (a Gemini Summon is technically a Normal Summon) you can target any FIRE Warrior or Gemini monster that isn’t Evocator Eveque and Special Summon it. Nice revival on summon, no limit on Level or whatnot and you can revive any Gemini OR any FIRE Warrior to leave options, it’s just this does require 2 summons to do so basically. There are ways to summon this immediately with the Gemini Effect and that’s pretty good to do so you don’t have to double down on summons. You can’t just Normal Summon this as the vanilla and equip it with Supervise though, and that kinda stings. It could of been nice if it was a once per turn revival or at least a once on the field. Instead you either got to go for a Gemini Summon or summon this with the Effect via various means. It’s a fine effect if you get it off, though a hard once per turn is kinda harsh with this being a Gemini and us knowing how they haven’t gotten the support I’m sure many could hope for. It’s okay at best, fine for some Gemini strategies, I just wish they got a better boost.

Art: 4/5 I’m kind of back and forth on artwork between this and Evocator Chevalier.

We haven’t looked at a Gemini in a hot minute (pun intended) but here we are.  Evocatir Eveque is a Level 4, Fire/Warrior/Gemini with bland stats of 1500/1000.  Standard Normal Monster and gains its effect when Second Summoned clause here.  Said effect gained when done lets you Special Summon a Gemini or Fire Monster from your Graveyard and Special Summon it.  The Gemini should be able to at least have its effect since you have to play at least one more of this card just to get this effect.  Too much to play with not enough return in my opinion.  Not to mention the weak attack and defense body attached.  Bad?  I wouldn’t say so, but by no means good, either.

Art: 4/5  The flaming mace is cool and I like the swirling background but the monster itself doesn’t inspire me much.
