Now we look at the new HERO card from that Valuable Book, and it’s finally a retrain of the old Elemental HERO Flame Wingman as he now becomes Elemental HERO Flame Wingman – Infernal Rage.

Infernal Rage is a Level 8 WIND Warrior Fusion with 2100 ATK and 1200 DEF. Stats aren’t great for a Level 8, and WIND isn’t too good, but at least it’s a Warrior. They basically made this have the anime stats now and have the Level match what it was in the early episodes. Anyways, 2 Elemental HEROs with different Attributes to Fusion Summon is super easy. It must be Fusion Summoned, just like every other Elemental HERO Fusion. Upon Special Summon, you get to search for any Favorite card. Options are pretty limited, but they’re nice. Favorite Hero is a nice Equip Spell if you want to pull some weird Field Spell plays in your E-HERO Deck, Eternal Favorite is coming in Phantom Nightmare and could give Yubel a place in the HERO Deck maybe, but the best target is Favorite Contact for its potential to help you summon Elemental HERO Shining Neos Wingman on the opponent’s, which this helps to search it and it’s a Wingman card, plus you can just use Xtra HERO Infernal Devicer to search for Neos. The second effect lets you tribute it if you used a Normal Monster as material, letting you summon a Level 7 or lower Elemental HERO from your Deck or Extra Deck that cannot be Normal Summoned or Set, ignoring summoning conditions. Only way you’re doing this probably is if you get to the Neos before you try to Fusion Summon this card, since you likely aren’t playing any other vanilla monsters in HEROs anymore. It’s a fine effect if you can pull it off, letting you go into the other Fusions or funny enough finally give us another way to summon Neo Bubbleman while Metamorphosis stays banned, but you’re likely going with the former. Hard once per turn on each effect is standard, but Infernal Rage is overall a fine card. It’s easy to summon for the archetype and gives you some access to disruption on the opponent’s turn, something HEROs don’t have a lot of. I’d say run a copy in the Extra Deck to use the Shining Neos Wingman package, it honestly feels worth it now.
