There are so many oblique references to Fires of Yavimaya in these current Ravnica sets that I almost had to check the calendar. Everything old is new again, I guess, and this type of global boost to creature stats and abilities is always going to be strong. +1/+0 to all your creatures is great with cheap creatures, and just about equally as great with big creatures with trample. I wouldn’t underrate his ability to make spells uncounterable, either: in combination with his cheap (fast) mana cost, it has the potential to do something even in formats where Counterbalance is legal.

Looks like Domri has chosen to fight for chaos, or something. His newest iteration is pretty similar in style to his Ravnica Allegiance appearance, serving to buff your creatures and make them harder to answer.

His two abilities are straightforward: fight something, or make your creatures uncounterable (and get mana to cast them). The -2 is quite nice as spot removal (and pretty similar to Domri Rade from Gatecrash), and the +1 is a good way to power out a board state through the threat of countermagic. His passive also helps you to win fights; +1/+0 with no downside means you trade up a bit more frequently, especially with his fight ability.

He does have low loyalty and can get popped, but he offers enough to a Gruul-adjacent deck that he can be a solid contributor.
