Hello Pojo Fans,

Cynet Mining was going to be a death nail for Salamangreats when it came to the ban list, no way they were getting three of this without losing something.

Cyberse decks rejoice for a personal RoTA. Yes you lose a card in your hand to the grave for that Level 4 or lower Cyberse, but you can usually recover that card loss through the monster you are searching. On top of that, any card, so if you had an extra spell/trap you didn’t need, this works great in a pinch, or if you had spell/trap cards that worked in the grave. If your monsters need to be in the grave to activate this is like a Foolish Burial for your hand. This card is just plain good for not just Salamangreats but any Cyberse deck. Any Cyberse deck, or a deck that may run a few Cyberse monsters may want to run this. Cynet Mining can be your combo starter by setting up your grave while getting you the piece you need: it fixes bad hands.

Cynet Mining is a simple Normal Spell with the cost of a discard from your hand. Usually you are going to try to recoup that loss with the Level 4 or lower Cyberse monster you get to search from your deck to your hand. It’s a little too pricey for me, and I don’t mean the value of the card. Obviously, Salamangreat love this card since you can use 3 of these in the deck after losing some of their better searchers. But people like to compare this to Rota. However, Rota is free and not once per turn the way this is. Like Rota, Cynet Mining has huge future potential even with the cost. Run 3 because the monsters you can search are usually worth the inherent -1.

In the middle of the week we have a card that has become quickly one of the best cards in Dark Neostorm, Cynet Mining.

Cynet Mining is a Normal Spell that at the discard of a card lets you search for any Level 4 or lower Cyberse monster. It’s RotA for Cyberse with a cost, but one low enough to make this still amazing. You can search Draconet to summon a Level 2 Tuner from the deck and do Ib Synchro plays, you got Cyberse Gadget for revival and Link Summoning assistance, Lady Debug for more searching, Balancer Lord for more Normal Summons, and the whole Salamangreat archetype at your disposal, which is necessary with Gazelle and Circle at 1 now. You even got the new Marincess and Processlayer cards to search with this, it’ll just get better with the addition of more Cyberse monsters. The discard is a good balance and to add more, it’s a hard once per turn, both things RotA never had, but that doesn’t make Cynet Mining bad at all. It’s an amazing card that is a worthy 3 of in many Cyberse related decks.

Isn’t it funny how a simple, theme related card can be so effective at something?  On the surface, Cynet Mining is a -1.  You play this and discard a card just to retrieve another.  But it’s vague, you discard any card, and you get any Level 4 or lower Cyberese.  Maybe now that discard doesn’t look so bad, does it?  Let’s see, Micro Coder, for one, can search this card, so that could help.  Luckily, only one can be played a turn.

It also surprised me to show (after a quick google) there are 80 Monsters that fit the criteria for this card that you can search with it.  But anyway, this is a card that lets you have and play about whatever you need in the now (whatever it is).  You can search for the piece you want for a Special or Extra Deck Summon, as well as just setting up other searches.  It’s a great utility card with a tremendous amount of combo setup potential.

Art:  3.5/5  This is fun, but bland.  I do like the colors.  Those look like eggs of some sort in there to me.
