This is an interesting riff on the create-a-token-copy concept, with a limitation that you won’t get its combat stats. I suppose the trick is to target something with interesting activated or triggered abilities (though it still won’t let you keep legendary creatures, nor planeswalkers like Gideon or Sarkhan the Masterless). People may not like having a powerful card like Dark Confidant or Blazing Archon turned against them – and imagining a frog doing what a Dark Confidant or Blazing Archon does is hilarious, almost unexpectedly so for an Innistrad set.

Then, of course, there could be times you want the copy to be a frog. Maybe something involving Meekstone? I’ll have to think about this one . . .

Three mana to copy any creature, albeit with a slight limitation, is an interesting prospect, and it even lets you get two copies off of one card. The catch is that it’s a 1/1 green Frog instead of its usual power, toughness, and color, but there are a fair few creatures that are already appealing targets for their abilities. It’s a flexible tool to help you get a bit more consistency, get a powerful effect for yourself, or just get a blocker, and while it won’t ever be the star of a deck, the efficient rate of return likely will make this a decent tech option in a lot of decks. It does fail to hit Changelings and big frogs, but that’s minor.
