Bramble Sovereign works reasonably well in 1v1 decks, but those settings feel almost like a waste of its true potential. I don’t even mean so much in terms of power as in hilarity: dishing out creature copies to players who did something you liked, getting people to bid for the right to get a copy of their next creature, and making copies of random things when you know you’re going to lose is just the tip of the iceberg. Don’t forget, too, that Battlebond is actually a Two-Headed Giant-themed set, and thus your partner is a valid target.

Bramble Sovereign is a fun political piece and combo tool on its own, thanks to her ability to copy all sorts of fun creature for two mana. The caveat is a simple one: she gives that creature’s controller the copy, so you’re not going to be able to steal an opponent’s army readily. Still, for two mana, that can be quite the bargain in a color that tends to generate bushels of mana, and Bramble Sovereign can definitely cause a massive snowball effect if she’s given the chance to do her thing. She’s too slow for Legacy, but more casual formats suit her just fine, because the only thing better than one Thragtusk is two of them.

Constructed: 1.5 (might work, but too slow and mana-intensive in a format with plenty of ways to punish both of those)
Casual: 4
Limited: 3.5
Multiplayer: 3.5 (playing politics can always play well)
Commander [EDH]: 3.75 (same, plus decks tend to combo a bit more aggressively here)

Designed for two headed giant in particular, this card doesn’t really have room in other formats outside of commander (if you want to play table politics).  If you have a partner it’s a great card but let’s be honest how many people have two headed giant casual decks laying around?  It is a fun card in limited and casual play but outside of that it’s just a bad card.

Multiplayer: 4/5
Commander [EDH]: 1.5/5
