Hello Pojo Fans,

Borreload Furious Dragon is our final card of the week and is the Rokket Fusion monster.

Two DARK Dragon monsters is easy to come by for Rokkets and many other decks, making it an easy target for Super Poly. 1-for-1 Quick Effect field removal can keep removing opponent resources and even if you weren’t using things like Rokkets it can still be a great effect. Furious Dragon’s grave ability is great if you’ve use a DARK Link monster in your Extra Deck, which there are many choices for. Borrel monsters are all DARK, as are Orcust, which are splashable in most Main Decks. Classic targets like Dragon’s Mirror and Poly are available to summon this. You can also use something to drop this from the Extra Deck into the grave and use Monster Reborn to Special Summon it to the field. Red-Eyes and Odd-Eyes benefit from this card, and even Supreme King cards can be used to Special Summon this. We can’t forget too that Furious Dragon also has 3000ATK, which is nothing to scoff at.

Furious Dragon is such an easy card to summon, it has no restrictions on being Special Summoned from the grave, has a grave effect involving Special Summoning another monster, and can further advantage for you if you use the right resources with its removal effect.

Since it seems Rokkets missed the cue for these VRAINS archetypes getting their Fusion Monsters, they finally get theirs now in Borreload Furious Dragon.

BFD is a Level 8 DARK Dragon Fusion with 3000 ATK and 2500 DEF. Typical rival stats are really good, DARK and Dragon are also good. The Fusion requirements are any 2 DARK Dragon monsters, easy in Rokkets since they are all DARK Dragons, but you aren’t limited to them either since the Guardragons are also DARK Dragons. BFD has a Quick Effect where you can target a monster you control and any card your opponent controls and destroy it. A Scrap Dragon during either player’s turn just sounds amazing, with it being a Quick Effect I’m fine you can’t just activate your own Spells and Traps and then chain this to it, but that’s fine since this can help trigger the graveyard effects of cards like Rokkets maybe, or if you need to you can destroy this and another card of your opponent’s so you can set up this guy’s graveyard effect. Either way, it’s a good way to disrupt the opponent or get rid of their threats. The other effect of BFD is that you can banish it from the graveyard to revive any DARK Link Monster in your graveyard, but it cannot activate its effects that turn. This was probably to prevent you from abusing the Guardragon monsters, but that’s fine since this will probably get back Borreload Dragon or Borrelsword Dragon since they’ll probably be safe with their 3000 ATK and protection effects for a turn, or you can revive a Link-2 or Link-3 to maybe do some Link climbing. BFD’s effects are both hard once per turns, and that’s fine for how good they are. It’s a worthy addition for several Extra Decks along with Rapid Trigger, especially in Rokkets.

Silly me, did I touch on this card earlier this week?  Not intentionally, but I may have mentioned it in passing.  Borreload Furious Dragon closes our week.  This Fusion is Level 8, Dark, Dragon, and merely requires two Dark Dragons for a Fusion Summon (making him a welcome Extra Deck addition in a variety of Decks, even outside Rokkets).

3000 attack (and 2500 defense) attached as well, and a Quick Effect, letting you target a Monster you control as well as a card (any card) your opponent controls and destroy them.  We know how well this fits in with the Rokket theme by now, and getting to destroy an opponent’s card, that likely results in at least a +1 on your side is nothing to sneer at at all.

Next is a trade off effect, where by removing this card from your Graveyard from play, you get to target and Special Summon a Dark Link Monster from your Graveyard.  I inadvertently touched on some of this Wednesday too, trying not to go into too much detail.  While also somewhat Graveyard dependent, this guy is strong, destructive, and combos well in the theme and with other cards too.  Really another good, solid card.

Art:  5/5  This art, while slightly darker and different from Borreload, is still very good.  I like the darkness, still love the bright background, and the detail and purple on the body/armor of the Dragon.  Well done here
