We end this week off with one of the more fun cards in the set, and one you have to invest more into than any other card in the game to summon, Armed Dragon Catapult Cannon.

ADCC is a Level 10 Light Machine Fusion with 3500 ATK and 3000 DEF that requires Armed Dragon LV7 and VWXYZ-Dragon Catapult Cannon. I will talk about the materials last, but to Fusion Summon this, you must have summoned them during the duel and they must be on the field or in the GY, no cheating and using something like Phantom of Chaos. The stats are good though for a Level 10, though they could of been better for what you have to go through. 3500 ATK and 3000 DEF is very strong, light is a great attribute, and machine is a great type. Now for those summoning requirements and what you must go through to summon those summoning requirements. For Armed Dragon LV7 you must summon Armed Dragon LV3 and have it survive until your next Standby Phase, where then you can upgrade it to Armed Dragon LV5 (Note: You can just Tribute Summon Armed Dragon LV5). Next, you must have Armed Dragon LV5 kill a monster in battle for it to upgrade to Armed Dragon LV7 in the End Phase. You can use Level Up! during this process, which would probably make that much easier. I’m just thankful they didn’t add extra on this by making you have to draw into and summon Armed Dragon LV10 by sacrificing your LV7. Ojamatch will help with this since it can search for an Ojama and Armed Dragon, then let you summon a monster. Yes, you can use Ojamas to help summon this thing. Now for VWXYZ-Dragon Catapult Cannon. VWXYZ is a Fusion itself that needs XYZ-Dragon Cannon and VW-Tiger Catapult on the field. XYZ is a Fusion as well that needs X-Head Cannon, Y-Dragon Head, and Z-Metal Tank on the field, and VW is also a Fusion that needs V-Tiger Jet and W-Wing Catapult on the field. So basically you need to Contact Fuse twice to then use those two Contact Fusions for VWXYZ. I don’t know if Fusion Tag can give you a shortcut for one in the TCG, I don’t know the ruling on that. You can also use Ojamassimilation to get the materials for VW or XYZ by ditching some Ojamas. Ojamas will really help get you to your Armed Dragon and your VWXYZ, it sounds gimmicky and it is, but it sounds like fun as well. For all that effort, what you get is a card that lets you banish any card in your Deck or Extra Deck to banish all cards your opponent controls and is in their GY, and your opponent cannot use effects of cards with the same name as cards banished. That does sound powerful, yes, but I do wish for more. Some protection on this thing would of been nice. Heck, for all you got to go through to summon this, it should just win you the duel, but I guess that wouldn’t be as fun. It is a fun card overall, and yes Ojamas do help make this easier, but you still need to go through a lot just to summon this, and I didn’t even mention that you’ll probably need a Link Monster to get both VW and XYZ on the field at the same time. I really like this card, but summoning it is a major challenge.

Art: 4.25/5 I really like how they mixed Armed Dragon with VWXYZ.

Good Lord what a Monster this is.  This is a card that fits the category “If you successfully Summon me, you win the Duel.”  So, this is a Fusion of a double Fusion (even if the Alphabet Monsters are more or less contact Fusion) and of Armed Dragon Level 7.  You HAVE to have Special Summoned both of them to make this, and they have to exist in your Graveyard or on the Field.  So they aren’t letting you take any shortcuts.  Level 10 is beastly, as is 3500 and 3000 defense.  Since this guy doesn’t win you the Duel by hitting the Field, I’d like about 1000 more attack on this thing, considering he’s far more difficult to summon than Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon, if only for reference.  So, he DOES prevent your opponent from activating effects of any card (ANY card) that is removed from play.  Yours, or their, Monster, Magic, or Trap.  Let’s not be mistaken, that IS damn good.  Once a turn (as a Quick Effect) you can remove a card from your Deck, or Extra Deck, to remove ALL cards your opponent plays from the game.  That’s Godly, straight up.  That effect, likely would win you a game.  After you attack, anyway.  This guy has no protection of his own, which is unfortunate, and to see him fall victim to a Trap, or countless common Monster Effects would be enough to make me cry.  He could wreck a game, I have no doubt, but he’s just too unwiedly.

Rating:  2.99/5  Honestly, he should be more like a 1.5/5 but with how powerful he is and the ability to win a game, he’s around average, and points are awarded in this instance for IF you get it to the Field.
