A NEW AGE OF DUELING ARRIVES THIS OCTOBER,
IN THE Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME!

Hawthorne, Calif. (October 5, 2023) – New stories begin, and time-honored tales take new twists and turns in the Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME (TCG) this fall! Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. (KONAMI) is proud to present the new 100-card core booster set, Age of Overlord, loaded with game-changing cards from Dueling’s past and present! Tried and tested tournament titleholders are back and better than ever, while ancient chapters from Dueling history return and exciting new strategies appear! The Age of Overlord is almost upon us, and the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG will never be the same.

Also in October, conventions continue with New York Comic Con (NYCC) 2023! KONAMI invites Yu-Gi-Oh! fans to join the fun, meet fellow Duelists, and get a sneak peek at upcoming Yu-Gi-Oh! releases at NYCC 2023. From learn-to-play demos and special giveaways to unique challenges and one-time-only Yu-Gi-Oh! merch, there’s plenty to do at the KONAMI booth at New York Comic Con, kicking off on October 12.

With 100 all-new cards, the Age of Overlord booster set is overloaded with new support for dozens of different Decks. “Magician” and “Mannadium”? “Odd-Eyes” and “Ogdoadic”? “Vanquish Soul” and Visas Starfrost? They’re all here, as fan-favorite themes return, and brand-new strategies make their entrances.

The Starfrost saga continues! Get ready for a Level 4 Tuner that counts as Visas Starfrost on the field and in the Graveyard. You’ll Special Summon it by returning “Visas” monsters that were banished, or that occupy your field or Graveyard, back to your Deck, and it gains 400 ATK for every card you return. It even counts as a non-Tuner for Synchro Summons! This versatile traveler arrives alongside a new “Mannadium” Synchro Monster, plus a Pendulum Monster that can end your opponent’s turn by forcing them into their End Phase!

Want to play something that’ll take you back to the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG’s Egyptian-themed roots? Prepare for four new monster cards cast in the image of Horus! All four are Level 8 Effect Monsters, ranging from 0 ATK to 3000 ATK; each has a unique Attribute, monster Type, and effect. The key to unlocking their power? A Continuous Spell Card! It protects your “Horus” monsters from destruction by non-targeting card effects and sends monsters to the Graveyard that would oppose them in battle. When you control the Continuous Spell Card, you can Special Summon any of the four new Horus monsters from your Graveyard for free. You can even Special Summon them all on the same turn! Better yet, up to four times per turn, you can send a card from your hand to the Graveyard to send a “Horus” monster to the Graveyard from your Deck. Play the Continuous Spell, use four cards to conduct the burial rites for all four “Horus” monsters, and revive all of them to attack your opponent (or use them for Rank 8 Xyz Summons)! The most powerful of these four monsters can even add the Continuous Spell Card and draw you a card to get it all started.

A mysterious new Spellcaster emerges in Age of Overlord, commanding a series of serpentine Spell and Trap Cards, and with them a hoard of Pyro monsters…along with a massive Dragon that steals and Summons your opponent’s fallen monsters! Not only does it Set cards to your field for free, but it’s incredibly tough to destroy. When it’s sent to the Graveyard on your opponent’s turn, you can bring it back instantly at the cost of any card from your hand or field. And yes, that means you’ll add from your Deck another one of her sinister Spell or Trap Cards…

The Duelist Saga Xyz Monsters Full Armored Black Ray Lancer and Full Armored Crystalzero Lancer are the basis of a brand-new strategy, one that revolves around a powerful new Rank 7 Xyz Monster. Powering up with Equip Cards and extra Xyz Materials, it absorbs opposing monsters and gains 300 ATK for everything equipped or attached! Beginning with a humble Rank 3, you’ll climb through your Extra Deck and bolster this boss monster with buffs so powerful, you can win the Duel in as little as one turn.

The Championship-winning Tech Genus theme is back, with seven new support cards! Their new Effect Monster lets you cycle a “T.G.” monster off the field to Special Summon another from your Deck, and if you’ve got a Machine-Type monster from the theme, you can revive a Level 4 or lower “T.G.” from your Graveyard, too. Two new Spell Cards add more Summons, while a new Counter Trap lets you negate your opponent’s Spell, Trap, or monster effect, and destroy the source. “T.G.” fans also get three new Synchro Monsters! The first is a Level 2 Tuner that lets you Synchro Summon on your opponent’s turn. It adds a “T.G.” Spell or Trap from your Deck on Summon and loads any “T.G.” card from your Deck to your Graveyard when it’s sent from the field to the Graveyard itself. A Level 5 “T.G.” Synchro Monster revives one of your “T.G.” monsters from the Graveyard on Summon, and when this Synchro’s destroyed, you draw a card to compensate. Finally, get ready for a fresh, new version of T.G. Blade Blaster: it’s a Level 12 Synchro Monster that can banish anything Special Summoned from the Extra Deck as a Quick Effect, and Special Summons a banished monster to your side of the field, ignoring all Summoning conditions!

A new form of Supreme King Z-ARC arrives with more support to help you Summon it! With 4000 Attack Points, you can use its Pendulum Effect to bring it out alongside the original Supreme King Z-ARC. With both monsters you’ll devastate your opponent’s field, and strike with a combined total of 8000 ATK! Looking for something a little more retro? Dark Hole Dragon is a 3000 ATK DARK Dragon-type; Special Summon it from your hand or Graveyard whenever a monster’s destroyed by a non-targeting effect. When this card hits the field, you’ll look through your Deck for Dark Hole and add it to your hand in the End Phase. And even better, you can play that Dark Hole freely, because Dark Hole Dragon can’t be destroyed by card effects! Age of Overlord also includes a massive Xyz Monster that punishes your opponent for Special Summoning: if your opponent Summons two or more monsters from their Extra Deck you can Xyz Summon this new Rank 12 with just your highest ATK monster as material. From there it’s got 2900 ATK, and it stops the activation of effects from monsters with 3000 ATK or more. Once per turn it can even return a monster from the field back to its owner’s hand.

Age of Overlord takes over store shelves everywhere on October 20! The complete set consists of 100 new cards: 50 Commons, 26 Super Rares, 14 Ultra Rares, and 10 Secret Rares. Twenty-four of those cards also appear as Quarter Century Secret Rare variants, and a 25th card appears only as a Quarter Century Secret Rare! MSRP: $4.49 per 9-card pack.

Duelists can get a sneak preview of the set at an Age of Overlord Premiere! Event at a participating Official Tournament Store on October 14 or 15!
