Reviews Below:
Yuna is the deuteragonist of Final Fantasy X, and one of the most memorable and popular characters in the franchise due to her strongly-portrayed loyalty and emotional depth, and the intriguing twists of her personal journey. She is now also a candidate to lead Bant-colored Commander decks, and that is a sentence I genuinely never thought I would say. This isn’t the only card that portrays her, but it might be the one that leans the most into her status as a summoner; and not just because it’s in both her card name and her text box. Boosting creatures with +1/+1 counters is so popular in these colors that it’s practically become a stereotype and a meme, but there’s something to be said for having the essential version of that gameplay in just one place. Four mana also feels like a pretty reasonable cost considering the number of things she can do. And speaking of that, don’t overlook the fact that her second ability looks for any type of counter, not just +1/+1. I have a feeling a lot of people are going to be buying those custom keyword counters from Etsy, or at least those one-pound bags of colored glass beads from the $1 store.

And now we get to the Final Fantasy crossover set properly, albeit with a first trip to the Commander subset. One of the headlining cards of the Commander deck centered around Final Fantasy X, Yuna, Grand Summoner feels tailor-made to play well with +1/+1 counters and the various Summons in the main and Commander set, but more on that later.
Yuna, Grand Summoner is a pretty solid supporting presence, empowering creatures she helps to cast. She’s a mana dork with upside, and that’s quite scary, especially if you pair her with any creature able to immediately leverage those counters to devastating effect. She’s an interesting creature for being both a good supportive linchpin and able to push some scary things through on her own…which is fairly in-character for her FFX portrayal, at least. She’s a tantalizing build-around, but I definitely think you should keep her as a supporting force in Commander tables.
