The RaNd0m Report

#Pojo, the Pojo Ladder, and other On-line activities

Congratulations. If you are reading this article, at least you have one step completed: You have the Internet. Using the Internet has become an essential tool in the CCG world. In fact, without the Internet, archetypes wouldn’t be as common, tournaments wouldn’t be as advertised, and boredom would arise.

If you want to playtest, but don’t have a league around, this is for you. If you want to playtest at 1 A.M., this is for you. If you want to chat and meet people from around the world, this is for you. Yes, #pojo is having a rejuvenation, as is the league. Right now, due to lack of interest, both are dwindling. We need YOU guys out there to help bring it back to full strength.

First, I want to tell you something. Don’t use the java link that has been up for quite awhile on Pojo. Although it’s a great tool, it is very basic. (All java chatrooms are basic.) USE MIRC! USE SOMETHING! Java is a nice tool, but really annoying and not looked up upon. Anyway, the server is: 216.152.65.156 =\ You can download MIRC at www.mirc.com OR you can download my script, which is an improved version (yet pretty basic) version of MIRC. It’s really easy to use… www.geocities.com/rand0m2002/index.html

Chatting is awesome. Seriously, it’s a lot of fun. Now of course there are rules… so when in #pojo, act kindly and don’t curse. You will be kicked.

One of the best things about the Internet are the online leagues! Pojo has had one for 2 years+! If you haven’t used it yet, you need to now. It has been pretty idle for awhile, but we are working to revive it. www.myleague.com/pojo or… a good resource: www.pojo.com/league

Apprentice is a program you can use to play almost any ccg! Download it here: www.dragonstudios.com

This is really short, but needed. This site has been successful for a long time, as has the league. But we NEED players again! Don’t put this off! If you really like Pokemon, you need to get into the leagues. =)
