Mannadium Torrid – #DUNE-EN011
If you control “Visas Starfrost” or a monster with 1500 ATK/2100 DEF, you can Special Summon this card (from your hand). You can only Special Summon “Mannadium Torrid” once per turn this way. If this card is destroyed by battle or card effect: You can Special Summon 1 “Mannadium” Tuner from your Deck. You can only use this effect of “Mannadium Torrid” once per turn.

Hello Pojo Fans,
Mannadium Torrid starts a week where we’ll be looking at more stuff involving Visas Starfrost…eventually that storyline will finish (feels like it’s been going on for a while).
Part of the Mannadium archetype, Torrid Fairy, Tuner, Level 2 are all great things, while the FIRE Attribute is helping to fill in all the other Level 2 monsters that take on different Attributes within the archetype. Same Special Summon ability as the others: got a Visas Starfrost or something 1500ATK/2100DEF? You’re in luck! Special Summon Torrid. Rather than fetch itself when destroyed by battle or card effect, it will Special Summon another Mannadium Tuner from the Deck. Despite not searching a copy of itself, Torrid can be used to start the combos up for Mannadium by being destroyed to Special Summon Riumheart from the hand. Once that happens you have your choice of Tuner Level 2 that you want to Special Summon. Mannadium Abscission can pop Torrid to get you to Peaceful Planet Calarium, then get you to whichever Tuner you want. Once you’ve got Peaceful Planet Calarium, you will +1 off your Tuners destruction
Mannadium Torrid wasn’t meant to be an incredible monster, it was meant to be a FIRE form of the other Mannadium Tuner monsters. Small, get your something off their destruction, and facilitate multiple Tuners being used for a Synchro Summon in the archetype. I think you’d rather start off with this because it will then lead into your others rather than the other way around.

Finishing off Duelist Nexus with the Visas lore, we got the newest Tuner for the Mannidum archetype with Mannadium Torrid.
Torrid is a Level 2 FIRE Fairy Tuner with 0 ATK and 1500 DEF. Stats aren’t impressive, but a FIRE Fairy is fine, and Level 2 Tuners are nice for Accel Synchro Stardust Dragon. So first effect is a Special Summon effect to get this from hand to the field if you control Visas Starfrost or any monster with 1500 ATK and 2100 DEF, so perfect for Mannadium. Hard once per turn on the Special Summon is fine, it’s searchable and you can just limit the copies of this you run. Upon destruction by battle or card effect, you can summon any Mannadium Tuner from the Deck, but this is a hard once per turn effect. Unlike the other Mannadium Tuners, you aren’t floating through 3 copies of this, but this can be extra copies of Mannadium Meek to really make Mannadium Fearless obsolete. The main reason you’d use this is more consistent ways to get to your best Tuner in the Deck, and the HOPTs on this make you not want to run 3. A copy or two is still fine, though.

Our Duelist Nexus coverage continues with wave two of the Mannadium archetype, which has given the deck a big boost but not quite enough to make them a meta threat yet. Mannadium Torrid starts the week, a level 2 FIRE Fairy Tuner, making it the Kashtira equivalent of the other Mannadium balls. Like the others, it’s searchable with Peaceful Planet Calarium and Piri Reis Map if you’re desperate since it has 0 attack, though you probably won’t be desperate enough. To go with its low Tuner stats, Torrid also has only 1500 defense, so it won’t be sticking around for too long.
Torrid shares the same first effect as the other Mannadium balls, letting you Special Summoning it on a hard once per turn as long as you control Visas Starfrost or any monster with 1500 attack and 2100 defense, which includes any member of the Heart family (most applicably Scareclaw Reichheart or Mannadium Riumheart, as long as Calariu doesn’t mess up your stats!). Torrid’s other effect is a hard once per turn, an oddity since the other two balls aren’t once per turn. Torrid can Special Summon any Mannadium Tuner (including itself) from your deck if it’s destroyed by battle or card effect. Since it’s hard once per turn, there’s basically no reason to summon another Torrid; most of the time this is your ticket to accessing Mannadium Meek, the strongest Mannadium Tuner by far. I’ve found most decks run at least one copy of Torrid, with many playing two, though it’s up to taste depending on how badly you want to get to Meek.
