Gagagaga Girl – #DUAD-EN043
2 Level 4 monsters
If this card has a “Zubaba”, “Gagaga”, “Gogogo”, or “Dododo” card as material: You can detach 1 material from this card; add 1 “Gagaga”, “Onomat”, or “Xyz” card from your Deck to your hand. You can only use this effect of “Gagagaga Girl” once per turn. A “Utopic Future” Xyz Monster that has this card as material gains this effect.
● If this card is Xyz Summoned: This card can make a second attack during each Battle Phase this turn.

Hello Pojo Fans,
Darn these names with the adding of letters at the end to make them longer. Regardless, we’ve got a new Gagaga Girl: Gagagaga Girl.
Generic Rank 4 with slightly higher ATK/DEF than her counterpart, Gagagaga Girl is meant to be used within these four archetypes we’re covering this week. If she is attached with any of them (“Zubaba”, “Gagaga”, “Gogogo”, or “Dododo”), which she most likely will be, you can detach and search out a Gagaga, Onomat, or Xyz card from the Deck. A potential double search is good and while she won’t search from all the archetypes that could be attached to her, she has a few cards she can search out: twenty-two potential Gagaga cards, five Onomat cards, and forty-six Xyz cards to choose from!
Of those cards: Xyz Align, Xyz Gift, Xyz Import, Onomatopaira, Onomatokage, Gagaga Bolt, and, depending on the situation, any of the Gagaga monsters that can Special Summon themselves as extenders.
If you were to use Gagagaga Girl as material for a Utopic Future Xyz Monster, you grant that Xyz Summoned card the ability to attack a second time during each Battle Phase during this turn. Number F0: Utopic Future can steal an opponent’s monster for the turn and the second Battle Phase attack would get you two of your opponent’s monsters to attack them with. Number F0: Utopic Draco Future has set ATK/DEF, has negation and theft potential through its Quick Effect, and, cannot be destroyed by battle or card effects. To put it simply: You want to bring out your Utopic Future Xyz Monster using Gagagaga Girl.
While the original could help with an Xyz Monster drop an opponent’s monster’s ATK to 0, this version of her can get you to a piece of support (even if it isn’t from all the archetypes you may be using) and is a must for your Utopic Future Xyz Summon(s). Double attack doesn’t always mean “game-breaking” but stealing two monsters and then using them to attack can be the difference. Even if you aren’t stealing monsters, a second attack is still a second attack and if it’s direct damage you are putting your opponent closer to losing.

Gagaga Magician gets an Xyz upgrade, so after a few years his apprentice in Gagaga Girl joins him to become Gagagaga Girl.
Gagagaga Girl is a Rank 4 DARK Spellcaster Xyz with 1500 ATK and 1800 DEF. A bit low on the stat spread for a Rank 4, but a DARK Spellcaster is great at least. If this card has a Zubaba, Gagaga, Gogogo, or Dododo as Xyz Material, you can detach a material from this card to add a Gagaga, Onomat, or Xyz card from your Deck to your hand. The requirement keeps this exclusive to the Onomat strategy, giving them a searcher for some of their best cards like Onomatopickup, Onomatopaira, Utopic Onomatopoeia, Onomatokage, Zubababancho Gagagacoat, Gagaga Ganbara Knight, Xyz Change Tactics, and Unbreakable Xyz Barrier. HOPT on the search effect, of course, and a Utopic Future Xyz that has this card as material gains the effect where if it is Xyz Summoned, it can make a second attack during each Battle Phase this turn, letting you either take two monsters with the original Utopic Future, get decent damage in with Utopic Draco Future, or even more massive damage with Utopic Future Zexal. Gagagaga Girl is a much better upgrade than Gagagaga Magician was, though both are solid. Gagagaga Girl does search your main play extenders though, while triggering the search effects of all of Yuma’s retrains when detaching them, plus it helps your Utopic Future monsters be able to put in more damage. Play 1 for sure, Extra Deck space is tight in Onomat, but you can fit this in easily.
As for Genesys, once again a better Deck, this being able to search Onomatopaira for you if you’re on less copies due to its 33 points.

Not willing to be left behind, Gagaga Girl is back as Gagagaga Girl, a Rank 4 DARK Spellcaster Xyz monster. Though it’ll take any 2 level 4 monsters, it’s not a good idea to make it outside of Onomat, or even in Onomat if you’re not using the right materials– so the Ryzeal boys will want to sit this one out. Weirdly enough, its stats are completely different from the original’s, with 1500 attack and 1800 defense this time. They’re still not great, but I guess 1000 attack and 800 defense would look really odd on a Rank 4 monster.
While a Utopic Future Xyz monster has Gagagaga Girl as a material, it’ll be able to attack twice during the Battle Phase of the turn it was summoned. Considering the gargantuan stats the deck’s new boss can reach, yeah, this all but ensures you win if you summon it going second. It stinks that it’s only during the turn it’s summoned though, because you’ll be summoning Gagaga Girl often going first thanks to its sole hard once per turn effect. It’s only usable if it has a Zubaba, Gagaga, Gogogo, or Dododo monster as an Xyz material, letting you detach a material to search any Gagaga, Onomat, or Xyz card. If you haven’t used it already, the main priority is getting to Onomatopaira– the double ROTA is too good to pass up! This’ll also conveniently detach one of the new Onomat monsters for a free search, which will more than make up the discard from Onomatopaira. If you’ve already used Onomatopaira, there are a couple of secondary targets; Zubababancho Gagagacoat and Gagaga Ganbara Knight are both good extenders to search since they’ll be able to Special Summon themselves. Most Xyz options unfortunately aren’t worth it unless you’re specifically going for an Astral or Shark hybrid, both of which aren’t as good as Ryzeal or simply sticking to pure. At any rate, Gagagaga Girl has the same strengths, and weaknesses, as the other cards this week! It’s an amazing combo piece for a deck that already had extremely powerful combo potential. That just makes it better than existing options, but Onomat is still vulnerable to Droll & Lock Bird and Nibiru, the Primal Being. I like running 2, just so I can take advantage of the double attack going first when I can.
+Combo piece that searches even more extenders to swarm Rank 4 monsters
+Easily enables OTKs with the double attack
-Requires an Onomat monster as Xyz material to use its effect
-Double attack only applies during the turn the Utopic Future monster was summoned
