Disaster, Dragon Ruler of All Apocalypses – #ALIN-EN049
2 Rank 7 monsters
If this card is Xyz Summoned: You can target up to 4 Level 7 “Dragon Ruler” monsters in your GY and/or banishment; attach them to this card, then you can banish all monsters from your opponent’s field and GY with a same Attribute as this card’s materials. You can only use this effect of “Disaster, Dragon Ruler of All Apocalypses” once per turn. While this card has LIGHT, DARK, EARTH, WATER, FIRE, and WIND “Dragon Ruler” monsters as material, it gains 4600 ATK/DEF, also it is unaffected by other cards’ effects.

Hello Pojo Fans,
Disaster, Dragon Ruler of All Apocalypses is the last monster we’ll review this week and is one of the three new Dragon Ruler Xyz Monsters.
Needing Ranks rather than Levels, Disaster wants your two new Dragon Ruler Xyz Monsters as its materials to maximize its effects. Attaching up to four Level 7 Dragon Ruler monsters is highly likely with the new speed added through Flickers and Nebulus, and the banish ability on the field and in the grave against your opponent for each Attribute attached to Disaster can cover all Attributes in the game. With the Rank requirements being generic, it gives you space to use other Rakn 7’s that you’ve spent their effects already (Dracossak). Dark Ruler No More followed by this card essentially forces your opponent back to turn one, robbing them of their entire field and grave without any counter measures being taken, as long as you can attach the Attributes needed to banish their field/grave.
Immunity from card effects and a 4600ATK/DEF boost helps the 0/0 stat line of this card, but what did you expect from an Xyz that can be summoned using Xyz Monsters and banish as much as it can? If you pull this off, and you have a good shot of pulling this off with the new speed added to the archetype, you should have all six Attributes in the game (minus DIVINE) attached, Disaster banishing everything your opponent has on the field and in the grave, then slamming them for 4600ATK at the very least. Any combo of any two Level 7 Dragon Rulers gets you the win.
Will you always get every Attribute? No. Should you at least make sure you rob your opponent of their field and grave? Absolutely. Have something to protect Disaster when it is summoned, because your opponent will be negating it. What it lacks in power to hurt your opponent’s LP it makes up for in devastating your opponent’s chances to win. Its odd to think of the strongest of the Dragon Rulers being 0/0 ATK/DEF but Disaster, Dragon Ruler of All Apocalypses may be just that. You don’t need him to win with the archetype, but he’d incredibly handy nonetheless.

The week ends off with the big boss to the Dragon Ruler clan: Disaster, Dragon Ruler of All Apocalypses.
Disaster is a Rank 7 LIGHT Dragon Xyz with 0 ATK and DEF. The stats will come via this monster’s effect, and a LIGHT Dragon is nice, though this could have been a justified moment to pull out the rare DIVINE Attribute, but that likely still sticks to the Egyptian Gods. Anyways, 2 Rank 7 monsters to summon, but you’ll want to summon this with the 2 Rank 7 Dragon Rulers we got, because on Xyz Summon this can attach 4 Dragon Ruler monsters in your graveyard and banishment to this card, with the intent to get all 6 Dragon Rulers attached to this, since this will banish all monsters the opponent controls and in their graveyard with the same Attribute as this card’s materials. HOPT on that effect to attach and banish stuff. You get all 6 different Dragon Rulers under this, however, it gains 4600 ATK and DEF and is unaffected by other card effects, making it next to impossible to get rid of, plus it battles and you get a 7 material Divine Arsenal AA-ZEUS if you want to put that on top of this since there are still outs to it like Destructive Daruma Kama Cannon. Disaster is a big boss monster you only really want to summon if you can get all the Dragon Rulers under it via its effect. It’d be nice if you could use the original Dragon Rulers along with the Xyzs to summon this, but it’s still a monster that won’t be impossible to summon in a Dragon Ruler Deck and can come up more often than not. Have a copy so you can summon a 4600/4600 Towers when needed that removes a lot of the opponent’s monsters.
Advanced Rating: 3.5/5
Art: 4/5 It’s sick looking, but doesn’t hit as hard as the other Dragon Rulers to be honest.

Classically, the boss monsters of Dragon Ruler have been generic Rank 7s like Number 11: Big Eye and Mecha Phantom Beast Dracossack. That all changes with our last card of the week, Disaster, Dragon Ruler of All Apocalypses, a Rank 7 LIGHT Dragon Xyz monster. Uniquely, its materials are any 2 Rank 7 monsters, but while a few decks like Onomat and Kashtira can make it fairly comfortably, there’s no point to making it outside of Dragon Ruler for reasons that’ll be very clear. Speaking of which, Disaster has a suspicious 0 attack and defense for a Rank 7 monster with those materials; that, too, will make it clear why you aren’t summoning it outside of Dragon Ruler.
In a refreshing moment of brevity for the Dragon Rulers, Disaster actually only has 2 effects, with the first being a hard once per turn effect that triggers on Xyz Summon. It’ll let you target 4 level 7 Dragon Ruler monsters among your Graveyard and banishment and attach them all to Disaster, then let you banish all monsters on your opponent’s field and in their Graveyard that share an attribute with Disaster’s materials. If you summon it as intended, you’ll basically be able to wipe out all of your opponent’s monsters, and it’s not that difficult as long as you use Chasma’s effect to copy Tidal. It’s obviously a great boardbreaker, though the caveat is that it’s not easy to use as disruption; you’ll have to rely on either hard opening Here There be Dragons, or going through convoluted combo lines to summon 2 baby Dragon Rulers and make Xyz Armor Torpedo and use the Armored engine to search Full-Armored Xyz (At that point, you’re better off hard opening that card…). Still, it’s a good card to make going second, and going first Chasma and Eclipse alone are decent endboard pieces, so it’s not a crazy big deal. Disaster’s other effect is a Continuous Effect– as long as it has all 6 Attributes of Dragon Ruler monsters as material, it becomes unaffected by other card effects and it gains a massive 4600 attack and defense, making it one of the stronger Towers monsters out there. It goes without saying that it’s not a great idea to leave Disaster by itself as an endboard (or at least, not in the current meta), because it can easily be overcome by an Link 3-boosted Accesscode Talker, a revived Maliss Q Hearts Crypter, and even Fiendsmith’s Desirae boosted with Fiendsmith’s Agnumday. Still, while it might have poor endboard presence unless you can make it during your opponent’s turn, it’s still a great monster to make as follow-up since your opponent will likely have monsters that are hopeless against it. Even Tenpai hybrids run 1 copy since it’s not that hard to make as long as all of your Dragon Rulers are in circulation, which I agree with. Overall, it’s a great monster to run as follow-up; for your endboard, you should stick to Chasma and Eclipse and that weird Archlord Krystia play.
+Towers monster with terrific stats when summoned as intended
+Devastating banish nuke that has great boardbreaking and disruption potential
-Very difficult to use as disruption
-Not always the best choice for going first

Art: 3.5/5 I’m not sure why specifically they chose a relatively plain red dragon to represent the combination of every Dragon Ruler, but at least it still looks nice. I would’ve preferred if it was a Five-Headed Dragon type of deal!
