Ness's Pokemon TCG Deck Garage

sneasel/buzz

Hey Ness.  I know Sneasel is good, but I can't seem to make it work as good as I want.  Everyone plays Ditto and Energy Removals to beat my Sneasel.  What can I do?

Pokémon (12)
4x Sneasel
3x Electabuzz
3x Rocket's Zapdos
2x Cleffa (neo)

Energy (16)
6x Lightning Energy
4x Rainbow Energy
4x Darkness Energy
2x Metal Energy

Trainers (32)
4x Computer Search
4x Professor Oak
4x Item Finder
4x Energy Removal
3x Professor Elm
3x Bill
3x Super Energy Removal
3x Gust of Wind
2x Gold Berry
2x Narrow Gym

----------------------------------------

Pokémon

Unprotected Sneasel.  =/  Doesn't work.  You may dominate the few decks that play no Energy Removal/Super Energy Removal, but versus the others you won't even put up a fight.
I suggest going down to 3 Sneasel, and dropping the Zapdos. I know they're good, but I plan to change your energy and Zapdos is bad with low energy. Rocket's Zapdos has been weakened with Genesis, besides the metal energy. Opening with a 2 retreat cost is nasty.  Eeeeeeeking is almost necessary within the first few turns, you shouldn't have to Oak repeatedly first turn anymore because your opponents Cleffas can counter your speed, and flipping VS a Cleffa in the opening really slows down Plasma.  These are the reasons Rocket's Zapdos has been slightly weakened. =/  It's still a great lategame card, but I don't think it's a necessity in this deck.
Keep the Electabuzz, and now we have to add in soem stuff...

Add in 3 Grimers and 2 Muk.  Slowking is still out there, Typhlosion will be popular soon as soon as everyone realizes how good it is.. importantly it stops Ditto from surprising you to KO your (powered) Sneasel, it stops your opponent's Unowns if you ever run into them (especially the Unown N + Chansey combo), and you never know when you may run into Blastoise, Meganium etc.

Then add in another Cleffa.. every deck needs at least 3, I believe.

      Add a Murkrow. It's good even without trainer-stopping back-up..

And some sick weird anti Chansey.. hmmm, a Tyrogue! Mwahahahha!!!!!! Tyrogue OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ya.

3x Sneasel - 3x Cleffa - 3x Electabuzz - 3x Grimer - 2x Muk - 1x Murkrow - 1x Tyrogue (ooo ya)

Energy

Well we can drop 2 lightning since we dropped Big Bird.. then drop the metals for Recycles, and add 1 more. They work good with Cleffa and make Buzz less SER vulnerable AND more retreatable. (I'm a deck mechanic, I can make up any words I darn well please.)  And add a double colorless, it's useful, and can retreat a Muk.

4x Darkness - 4x Rainbow - 4x Lightning - 3x Recycle - 1x Double Colorless

We're left with room for 28 trainers..

Trainers
Okay, your default gym was a terrible choice.  You limit your power of Sneasel.  Change the Narrows for Eco Gyms to protect your Sneasel.  And also add a 3rd. SER hurts. =/
Then drop the Energy Removals, and a Super.. you can keep Super though because you can remove colorless with Eco in play, strike back with a super if they take out the eco (and maybe super you), and super them before you drop Eco, still.

Drop ALL the Elms and Bills.. and an Item Finder, why do you have so much card drawing in here?

Add a couple Switch in case they Gust your Muk.  This is a weakness of the deck because of only one double colorless energy, and it is hard to get around.

Then, you need to play Lass. I'd suggest 3 because trainers will be their ONLY hope at stopping a fast Sneasel.  Try to Lass, then Beat Up and get KOs.  If they Eeeeeeek, Lass and try to KO the Cleffa.. that's if you're afraid they could drop the default and super.

Drop a Comp.. you got 3 Cleffas and 4 Oaks.. that's enough with 3 Comps.  Then, add 2 Energy Charge. It's risky, but it's the best way to get darks back.  And a Chaos for when they're left without Cleffas and Sneasel can go through everything.

Pokémon (16)
3x Sneasel
3x Electabuzz
3x Cleffa (neo)
3x Grimer
2x Muk
1x Murkrow
1x Tyrogue

Energy (16)
4x Lightning Energy
4x Rainbow Energy
4x Darkness Energy
3x Recycle Energy
1x Double Colorless Energy

Trainers (28)
4x Professor Oak
3x Item Finder
3x Computer Search
3x Lass
3x Gust of Wind
3x EcoGym
2x Super Energy Removal
2x Gold Berry
2x Switch
2x Energy Charge
1x Chaos Gym

maybe that Balloon Berry could replace a Switch when Neo 3 comes out, to put on Muk. This way they can't Gust and Lass you and KO your Muk in two turns. =/
