Hello Pojo Fans,

Topologic Zeroboros ends our week.

Another Topologic Link 4. Same requirements, if you can spam two Link 2’s then go that way. Link points stop you from summoning to them…that’s interesting. Banished decks can pump this card up to ridiculous levels if those decks would Link Summon this card (typically they don’t). It may give your opponent two extra zones to Special Summon to, but doing so activates the banish board wipe ability. Zeroboros locks your opponent into not using a link point, because that also will activate the board wipe ability. This slows down the gamestate to a standstill. If they can’t get Zeroboros off the field they will be left with not using their Extra Deck. 3000ATK is tough to get over, but it is is doable. Your opponent can bait the effect out using something like Instant Fusion and then continue on without anything stopping them, but not everyone has that ability. Hornet Drones same thing as Instant Fusion in terms of baiting, but again, not everyone plays it. Extravagance and Desires will boost this card 600-2000ATK depending on which you activate. Zeroboros is best used when your opponent has a decent board set up so you can benefit the most from its effect.

Topologic Zeroboros forces a state of the game where the benefit of link monsters opening up Main Monster Zones is a bad thing, and that’s great.

We end the week off with the newest Topologic Link-4 to join us, Topologic Zeroboros.

Zeroboros is a Link-4 DARK Cyberse with 3000 ATK and arrows pointing Upper Left, Upper Right, Bottom Left, and Bottom Right. The stats are good like they were yesterday and the arrows are very interesting. The summoning requirements are any 2+ Effect monsters, which once again is easy to accomplish. You cannot Special Summon to Extra Monster Zones this card points to, likely to prevent you from finding a way to Extra Link with only 3 Link Monsters (this is a condition, so negating its effects won’t matter). This card gains 200 ATK for each of your banished cards, which works very well with its other effect to get to massive attack. If a monster is Special Summoned to a zone a Link Monster points to, then as a mandatory effect (like every other Topologic) you banish all the cards on the field, yours and your opponent’s. A massive board wipe that you can trigger on the opponent’s turn with something like Call of the Haunted or they can trigger by making plays and mistakenly summoning to a zone any Link Monster points to. It can be a massive blowout if the opponent doesn’t find a way to play around it to where you have to trigger it and then they can do their plays after its gone. The benefit at least is the next Standby Phase after this card used the banish effect, you can Special Summon it from the banished zone. Best part is that it goes to any Main Monster Zone, so you can summon this in the middle to point at both Extra Monster Zones and prevent your opponent from using them without banshing everything once again, or just have it point to one Extra Monster Zone while you use the other one to summon another powerful monster while the opponent can’t use their Extra Monster Zone without triggering this guy. Or maybe just summon this below an Extra Monster Zone so it has no zones to point to, meaning it can only trigger if you or the opponent summons another Link Monster and summons to a zone it points to. It’s a niche card that can find a home and be better than most other Link-4s in some decks, but there are other Link-4s that are generally better. It just depends on where you put this card into.

Advanced Rating: 4/5

Art: 5/5 I have no clue what’s going on, but I like it.

(NOTE: What I mentioned in the review is how this card should work, but a mistranslation made it to where it would only come back on your next Standby Phase after it uses the effect to banish every card on the field, not the next Standby Phase in general. I imagine this will be fixed eventually, but Gandora X never got properly translated over here, but it’s a 3.25/5 with the mistranslated text.)

Closing the week is Topologic Zerobros.  You should notice many initial similarities here between this and yesterday’s card (go figure, given the name).  3000 attack again, still a Dark, Cyberese Monster, and 2+ effect Monsters needed for a Link Summon.  The key different is that our Link 4 friend here has all 4 arrows pointing to the diagonals, as opposed to none used yesterday.

So maybe it’s good the arrows are to the diagonals, as you can’t Summon or Set Monsters to any Zone this card points to.  Zeroboros gains 200 attack (negligible at best for a card with 3000 initial attack, but it’s something) for each card removed from play.  Something you may need to work a Deck around, but something Cyberese players can do easily enough.  Your opponent can help too, it’s ALL removed cards.

Oh, but it plays off itself.  If a Monster is Special Summoned to a Zone this card points to, all cards (yes ALL cards) on the Field are removed from play.  During your next Standby Phase after that, you get this card back via Special Summon.  Phenomenal, simply incredible.  Your opponent still has whatever they have in their Hand, but that effect can win you some games.  Powerful, but needs to be used intelligently.

Rating:  4/5

Art:  4.5/5  Color wise, this is magnificent.  The cyber feel is here too.  This kinda strikes me as a mechanical Ancient Fairy Dragon.
