Hello Pojo Fans,
Evil★Twin Ki-sikil Deal is one of the monsters that was referenced yesterday as an aid to the new Lil-la monster.
Needing a Ki-siki to be Link Summoned, half of the Evil Twins in the Main Deck are able to be used to Link Summon this, though you only can do this once per turn. Despite not being able to be Link Summoned with either of your “Lil-la” monsters, you can send one from the Deck or Extra Deck to the grave for Ki-sikil Deal’s effect.
A draw for each time the opponent activates a card/effect in response to your Ki-sikil or Lil-la monster effects ensures you will always break even at the worst. Against moves that counter your monsters like hand traps, you might end up losing a monster of yours, but you’d still get a draw to replace. As an Ignition effect it is slower than you’d want, but that would be the balance. Your opponent is going to have to deal with it immediately because you can fire off this effect and be good to draw card(s) for the rest of your turn if they want to activate anything in response to your archetype monster effects.
Sending yesterday’s card: Sweet Lil-la to the grave with this effect sets up a Link-2 off the cuff, but make sure you’ve got another Lil-la or Ki-sikil on the field because both Link-2’s can give you advantage if you have another one of those when you Link Summon whichever Link-2 you choose. Combining Live Twin Home with this play gives you both Link-2’s, which can then Special Summon back from the grave a Lil-la and Ki-sikil each if they are missing from the field. All of this happens from Link Summoning Ki-sikil Deal and having Live Twin Home in your hand, which you can get from Secret Password (which can double as an archetype RoTA).
The archetype constantly wants to you keep reviving and reusing the original Ki-sikil and Lil-la monsters to feed the Spell/Trap cards of the archetype, as well as be fodder for Evil Twins Ki-sikil and Lil-la. The Continuous Trap Evil Twin GG EZ needs tribute fodder to protect you from destruction, while Live Twin Channel tributes to negate attacks once per turn. Evil★Twin Ki-sikil Deal makes it easy to link climb with minimal effort and forces your opponent to use negation immediately. If they don’t, each counter they attempt that turn will be met with a free draw for you.

One of these themes was going to get two cards this week, so it makes sense to go to the archetype full of subarchetypes as we now have Evil Twin Ki-sikil Deal.
Ki-sikil Deal is a Link-1 LIGHT Fiend with 100 ATK and an arrow pointing Right. Barely any ATK, but this being a LIGHT Fiend gives Evil Twin one of the easiest bridges into the Fiendsmith engine that any Deck can have, especially since this only needs a Ki-sikil monster to be Link Summoned. You can only Link Summon this once per turn, a standard clause on archetypal Link-1s that are powerful for their Deck like Prank-Kids Meow-Meow-Mu. You can send a Lil-la monster from your Deck to the graveyard to apply the following effect for the rest of the turn: each time the opponent activates a card or effect in response to your Ki-sikil or Lil-la monster effect activation, you get to draw a card when it resolves. The effect you apply likely won’t matter as much since if you’re getting interrupted, there’s a chance it was on your Normal Summon, what matters is sending a Lil-la from Deck to grave as cost to get Lil-la Sweet in the graveyard to revive and make Evil Twin plays, after of course you Link this away into Fiendsmith’s Requiem to do Fiendsmith combo since the lock Lil-la Sweet puts on you won’t matter considering all Fiendsmith monsters are Fiends. Even without the Fiendsmith engine, this basically makes disrupting the Normal Summon of your Live Twin Ki-sikil ultimately not matter since it can go into this to get to Lil-la Sweet to make your plays anyways, or if your only Live Twin in hand is Ki-sikil Frost. HOPT on this effect of Ki-skil Deal, which is fine. This feels almost like a custom card level of support when combined with Lil-la Sweet, ensuring your Evil Twin combos are happening one way or another, and it’s the easiest bridge into Fiendsmith that any other archetype minus the dedicated LIGHT Fiend ones have. It’s great and easy to summon, and Engraver can put it back in the Extra Deck, so you only need 1 unless you really fear Kashtira Unicorn.

Live Twin Lil-la Sweet was a good card, but the real bombshell card for the deck is Evil Twin Ki-sikil Deal, a Link 1 LIGHT Fiend Link monster (LIGHT Fiend, you say?) with a right arrow– not fantastic, but frankly we don’t need any arrows! Ki-sikil Deal, as its name might suggest, will take any Ki-sikil monster, so Live Twin Ki-sikil on its own can make it, as well as Evil Twin Ki-sikil in a pinch if you don’t mind losing out on materials. Weirdly enough, Ki-sikil Deal has even worse stats than the Live Twin version, with a paltry 100 attack. It’s normal for a Link 1 and not very relevant, but I still find it funny.
Unsurprisingly, Ki-sikil Deal can only be summoned once per turn; this normally isn’t a huge deal, but it’s a common restriction for Link 1s for future proofing. It has a single hard once per turn effect to send a Lil-la monster from your deck or Extra Deck (for cost!!!) to apply a lingering effect that’ll draw you 1 card each time your opponent activates a card or effect in response to activating a Ki-sikil or Lil-la monster effect. The Maxx C-like effect is just a small bonus– much like Cherubini’s attack boost, the real meat of this effect is sending a Lil-la monster to the Graveyard. Most of the time this will be Lil-la Sweet so that it can revive itself and become an extra body. There aren’t many applications for sending Evil Twin Lil-la, but feel free to correct me. In pure builds, it might help make another endboard body like I:P Masquerena (fittingly enough) or S:P Little Knight, but between Lil-la Sweet’s lock and navigating the Link 2s, it’s a little awkward. It’s sometimes said that an archetype could get a Link 1 that’s just a vanilla and it’d still be good, and Ki-sikil Deal is one of those cards– as you’ve probably already figured out, it’s a LIGHT Fiend you can easily make and use for Fiendsmith’s Requiem, letting you branch into Fiendsmith combos. Not to worry though, because your standard Live Twin combos will field just enough bodies to still go into Evil Twins’ Trouble Sunny, so it’s more like a really big bonus than just turning Live Twin into another victim of the Fiendsmith wheelchair. Ki-sikil Deal is one of those cards that does a lot while doing relatively little; it enables Fiendsmith combos without forcing you into Moon of the Closed Heaven and provides extension past Hand Traps, on top of a mini Maxx C effect in case you wanted to draw more. Always play at least 1!
+Terrific extender that can send Lil-la Sweet for cost
+Enables Fiendsmith combo lines off of any Ki-sikil monster
-Draw effect won’t occur super often
-Doesn’t do much to enhance the ceiling of pure builds
