Okay, this is my first report so I don’t know how good I am at typing these things up but here it goes...I was playing the same deck that I had the previous week which is Red/Black/Blue. I was a bit cocky since it was unchanged and the previous week I had gone undefeated until the finals ending up in second place. But then of course doing this good, DCI doesn’t update the rankings. Anyway, here’s the deck;

Well now after playing a game of Yu-Gi-Oh with someone, the Tournament Organizer anounces that we will be paring.

Round 1 vs. Matt D.

Matt is like one of my best friends and whenever I face him in a tournament everything seems to go wrong for me and I end up losing but today would be a different story.

The first game kinda went really fast with me using an Emeral once putting down a Surfer and picking up a pit. That was the only trigger I had that game. Then of course he builds up a swarm and just owns me. Then the second game was really close with me getting really really lucky. He got me down to no shields and he was at like 2. I had 4 creatures out, so I went and attacked which was the only thing I could do. First shield I hit was nothing. The second shield gave him a Surfer and sent back one of my creatures that hadn’t attacked yet. I was so happy since he didn’t have a Burst Shot down there to get rid of my field and then I’d lose. I think the third and final game went the exact same way so I finally have beaten Matt in a official tournament match!!

Round 2 vs. Ed M.

I had played Ed last week and had beaten him with some wondrous luck beating him when he had 2 Bolmeteus’ out so I was hoping that the results this time would come out the same but maybe I thought wrong...

The first game disappointed me because he got him Bolmeteus out on the 7th turn and then owned me from there. He had a crap load of blockers out so even with the nasty swarm I had, he either Searing Waved me or played stupid Burst Shot so I had nothing to do. I lost that one. But then the second game came around and he got absolutely nothing except blockers. I had a huge field and then I drew a Crystal Paladin so I won this game. Now the third and final match was definitely a close one. I had gotten him down to no shields giving him a blocker in the last one. He has enough mana to play a searing wave on my field and then hold me off with a blocker. Next turn I top decked a Tornado Flame to kill the Phantom Fish he had one the field. He draws...and then summons a stupid Bolmeteus!!!!Arg so then after that I drew not one speedy and he kept getting blockers on top of blockers. Match lost.

Round 3 vs. Kyle?!?!?!

No this wasn’t me, and in fact I’ve played him before and have done pretty good against him but this time he murdered me. I lost so bad I felt like dropping out. It took only two quick games for him to kill me. He had created a gigantic field with all 2s. Then after he was positive he had enough creatures to kill me with, he attacked and of course I had not one trigger. The second game went exactly then same.

Round 4 vs. Nathan

Nate is one of my good friends and is always helping me out with Magic and Zatch Bell which I just started that night. We were both soooooooo happy that the game was over when it was because the last match was one that could really piss of the most tranquil person in the world. So game one started and I think this one we were both down to no shields and then he draws blockers and a speedy. The second game kinda went the same way with both of us having no shields but he didn’t get a blocker the whole game and I drew a Pyro to win it. The final game was the best game that I have ever played in my life. It was one of those games that you really want to play and it doesn’t matter that you win or lose. Well actually it does but you’ll see what I mean. SO!! Anyways this game we kept picking off each others shields. Finally on his last turn he went all out when I had 2 shields left and he had 3 attackers. First shield he hits I get nothing but a Corile. Then the second shield he hits....I leave it sitting there with my hand on top of it hoping that its something good that I can use to kill his creature that was left to kill me. It was a TORNADO FLAME!!!!!!!!!HELL YES!!! I got rid of his stupid Pyro that was going to kill me and then it was my turn. He also had 2 shields left but I had 3 creatures out and then I drew a Rikabu. So I go for the attack with Rikabu to get rid of one shield and he has nothing. Then I attack with a Hulcus to throw away his last shield. What was it?!?!?! I don’t know except for the fact that it wasn’t something to stop me!!!! I killed him with a Snip wining the match two to one.

My record in matches that night was 2-2 and in duels I went 5-6. It was a bad night for me so it didn’t matter what place I came in. There was no chance of me making top four tonight so I left.
