Hello all of my fellow Kaijudo
Duel Masters out there! Welcome to my 150th Card of
the Day review! I really hope you all have enjoyed
my first 149 'cause I think I've got at least
another 149 coming your way! Today we're taking a
look at a card that was very similar to one that we
reviewed the other day, Covering Fire. This card has
a lot more potential and devastating effects and
this card could be seeing some play in the near
future. Let's take a look at Portal Tech!
Name: Portal Tech
Civilization: Light
Type:
Spell
Race: N/A
Level: 5
Power: N/A
Flavor Text:
What use are forts and border defenses if an
enemy can appear anywhere?
Rarity:
Rare
Set Number:
19/165 l 3RIS
Abilities:
Choose up to 3 of your creatures. They can't be
blocked this turn.
This card gives three of your
creatures the ability to be "Unblockable" for the
turn. This can be very important when you're trying
to swing in for the game winning blow and your
opponent has several Blockers in the battle zone.
It's almost like you played a Stormspark Blast
essentially but for one mana less. Even if they
somehow get another creature in the battle zone via
Bottle of Wishes or Return From Beyond, etc... those
creatures can't stop you from attacking directly!
In some other cases you may
have some creatures with effects that activate when
they attack or when they aren't blocked. This card
bypasses your concerns and will allow your Death
Liger, Apex Predator or Feral Scaradorable to get
their effects off.
This card
may see more play with the recent unveiling of Eternal Haven and the
Blocker-centric strategy that it thrives off of but
it's really too early to say just yet.
Ratings:
Constructed: 3.00/5.00 (Stormspark Blast is generally the better
card but in very unique circumstances this can be
the better card.)
Limited:
3.50/5.00 (This card will let you take care of
pesky creatures that your opponent's ready to
protect with their Blockers or let you swing in for
the game since most of the shield blasts that people
will obtain in limited are few and far between.)

everyone! Make sure to check out my channel for new
