DRY 1337

Today we feature a creature from one of the new races.  Melt Warriors by far have little support, however for some reason they can hold their own by harnessing the element of surprise.  Hysteria lizard is no exception.

Hysteria Lizard

Cost: 4

Race: Melt Warrior

Civilization: Fire

Type: Creature

Rules Text:

·         This creature attacks each turn if able.

·         Power attacker +3000 (While attacking, this creature gets +3000 power.)

Power: 3000

Four mana for a 3000 attacker is pretty typical for the fire civilization.  Usually creatures of this level have power attacker + 2000, which means that Hysteria Lizard breaks the mold by having +3000.  Not bad for a little Melt Warrior.  The 6000 total attacking power (which is twice its original power) pretty much allows you to have your way with blockers.  Actually at this level you could have your way with a lot more than just blockers.

The other effect that Hysteria Lizard has to deal with is that it must attack each turn when able.  This is somewhat typical of the fire civilization but in Hysteria Lizard’s case, it really has no impact.  Deadly Fighter Braid Claw for example is far too easy to kill.  However with a 6000 power attacker like Hysteria Lizard we were going to attack anyway, right?  The effect pretty much puts Hysteria Lizard on autopilot.  No harm done.

The Good:  If you’re a fan of beatdown then this creature is a must-have.

The Bad:  There are better cards that can be used on turn 4 but in the right deck this is the card to have.

The Ugly:  Histeria Lizard has a mug that only a mother could love.

Constructed Rating: 4/5 – A beatstick on autopilot….  What a beautiful thing.  For extended fun you might want to protect it or clear the field so your opponent doesn’t have a chance to retaliate while this creature is tapped.

Limited Rating: 4.5/5 –  Hysteria Lizard is nearly unstoppable in limited.  A definite must have!
