							| Lee Sandow | Firstly, I’d like to
apologize for not responding Friday to Astral Warper.
They ran his review early… Anyways, I’m back this
week with Magris, Vizier of Magnatism. The Aqua
							Hulcus of the Light Civilization!
 Magris, Vizier of Magnatism
 Cost: 4
 Civilization: Light
 Card Type: Creature
 Creature Class: Initiate
 • When you put this creature into the battle zone,
							draw a card.
 Flavor Text: “I forget.”
 Power: 3000
 Mana Generated: 1
 Rarity: Uncommon
 Card Number: 1/55

This guy is nice. He’s got fairly solid stats, and a
good ability. He is also a good race, which makes
							him even more playable.

 Civilization/Race: He’s a Light creature, which
means VERY little by itself. He’s an Initiate, which
means he can evolve into Sieg Balicula, and
Initiates as a whole aren’t a bad group of people.

Cost: He costs four mana, which is a little bit much
for his power level, but his effect will make up for
it. As a turn 4 drop, this guy is very solid.

Abilities: When he hits the battle zone, you can
draw a card. No ifs, ands, or buts. Hand advantage
is always nice, and this guy is a 1 for 1 trade. You
use one card (this), you gain one card (the one you
drew). In addition, you also get a creature on the
field. This guy’s ability is very simple, but it is
							awesome.

Power: 3000 power can trample most “lower range
creatures”, by which I mean Aqua Hulcus and Bronze
Arm, and Horrid Worm. It will die to most mid-range
creatures (evolutions like Barkwhip, creatures like
Dia Nork). Still, we aren’t using this guy for his
							power, now are we?

Ok, now that I’ve reviewed these stats, let’s see
							how they stack up.

Constructed overview: Hand advantage is always nice,
and Magris is one of the only forms of Draw Power
light has. The other form is Mist Rias, which can be
better than this, or could net you nothing. This guy
guarantees you one card, and he’s a fairly powerful
creature to boot. He can evolve, and he’s capable of
breaking shields. What’s not to love. If you are
using Light, I’d highly suggest running him. 4/5

Limited overview: He’s more powerful than most of
the lower-midrange creatures in this set, and he
allows you to draw, which is even more godly in
draft. If you get him, and you are using Light, you
have NO excuse not to run him.

Did you survive the Megapocolypse? Reviews start
							tomorrow!

								Hey everyone! First
off, I'm not dead, I was just busy. With that
out of the way, let's move on to Magris, Vizier
of Magnetism. This card is like Aqua Hulcus's
seemingly stronger older brother. It has 1000
more power, for 1 more mana. It seems good, but
when the sole reason you play Magris is for the
card drawing, extra mana isn't nessecary. 3000
power isn't that great when you could be playing
better cards. I'd say to let this one pass.

Drawing a card is pretty good. It's basically Aqua
Hulcus for Light. Except it costs four mana, and it
can't be evolved into anything good. Drawing cards
is great and all. But water does that best. On the
other hand this card DOES draw you a card. I'm so
undecided on this card. I've never gotten a chance
to really run it. For now I'll just give it a rating
							of four.
Meaning that it is above average.
