Hey there everyone and welcome
to another exciting day of Card Reviews at Pojo.com!
Today we're taking a detour from the Tatsurion VS
Razorkinder deck and moving forward a little ways to
Clash of the Duel Masters. Today's card is an
evolution creature of one of the first creatures
that we ever see in the TV series of Kaijudo; let's
look at Noble Rumbling Terrasaur!
Name: Noble Rumbling Terrasaur
Civilization: Nature
Type:
Evolution Creature
Race: Tusker
Level: 7
Power: 8000
Flavor Text:
"Rumbling terrasaur, evolve!" -Ray
Rarity:
Rare
Set Number:
63/110 l 7CLA
Abilities:
Evolution-
Put on one of your Tuskers.
Double Breaker (This creature breaks 2 shields.)
Stampede- Whenever this creature or one of your
other Tuskers enters the battle zone, put target
enemy creature that is lower level than that Tusker
from the battle zone into your opponent's mana zone.
Noble Rumbling Terrasaur (NRT
for short) is a decent sized evolution creature from
the Clash of the Duel Masters set. He sits at 8000
power and is a level 7, so you're at least getting
your value when you play this guy. The biggest issue
currently is that there aren't a lot of Tusker
targets (say that five times, right?), only seven
currently including NRT itself. The best choice for
evo-bait is probably Gigahorn Charger because of his
synergistic ability with this card.
Gigahorn allows you to search for a creature
from your deck with 5000 or more power and add it to
your hand. That means you can get a hold of your
copy of NRT as early as turn five and be set to play
it by your turn seven.
This cards effect has built in
removal like none that we've ever seen before. By
simply playing this card you can essentially Root
Trap your opponent's smaller creatures! The biggest
stipulation is that the creature that you put into
your opponent's mana zone has to be
less than
the creature you just played. The cool thing is
though, every time you play another Tusker, this
effect activates again! This is probably the easiest
way to get rid of your opponent's Blockers with the
nature civilization outside of Tendril Grasp and
turns your Gigahorn Chargers into Return to the
Soil.
Ramping your opponent's mana
isn't always the best strategy, however, nature can
be aggressive at times. Maybe you just want to swing
in there left and right so you can win regardless of
how much mana your opponent has? Let's not forget
that NRT is an evolution creature, so he'll be going
in for two shields the turn he hits the board under
most circumstances. Maybe if we get some more
options for Tuskers, then this card may see some
play... until then, this will likely be comfortably
waiting in your trade binder or box of random cards.
Constructed: 2.00/5.00 (There's not a ton of decks that can really
use this card and in the process you will be ramping
your opponent's mana when you play him. Not great
for the game just yet.)
Limited:
1.75/5.00 (There aren't a ton of targets for
this card in limited play but if you can get him out
you just scored yourself some removal and a huge
body on board!)
Thanks for stopping by
everyone! If you guys haven't had the chance to look
through all of the spoilers for Shattered Alliances
yet, you're missing out! Check it out and see the
light when the set hits this Friday the 13th! Until
next time my fellow Kaijudo Duel Masters, keep calm
and game on!
