Welcome to the 20th Card of the
Day since we started in 2013! Another interesting
feature about today's card, is that it's the first
Spell card to be reviewed since Kaijudo was a thing!
So let's get started with today's card, Reap and
Sow!
Reap and Sow is a Level 4 Spell
of the Nature Civilization that states: "Look at the
top 2 cards of your deck. Put one of them into your
hand and the other into your mana zone."
This is generally a staple in
any Nature build. It has been seeing play in decks
that utilize multiple colors as it can allow you to
get better options not only in your hand but also in
your mana zone. If you really need that other color
in your mana zone, you might just get to it when you
play this card.
Let's not discount the fact
that this card advances you a turn on your mana
curve/acceleration as well as replaces itself with
another card! It also allows you to see ahead two
cards and determine what is more feasible for you to
use and what belongs in your mana.
The main issue I have with this
card is that if you're playing it on turn four, this
is likely the only play that you'll be having. It
leaves you vulnerable to attacks from your opponent
and in those rare occurrences, may give you another
Reap and Sow!
Not much more to say about this
card; it's great in multi-colored decks that can fit
Nature into them. A very good card to get you set up
early game so you can bring out those bigger
creatures when you need them.
Ratings:
Constructed:
3.00/5.00 (Sets up your mana in multi-colored
decks and can advance the flow of game in your favor
but may be slow at times.)
Limited:
3.50/5.00 (It allows you to draw and charge your
mana; this puts you ahead of your opponent which is
always good when trying to reach your "combo pieces"
or cards that you need to win.)
Stop in tomorrow when we review
a card that most duelists never want to stare down
in the battle zone due to its shear raw power and
abilities!
