Welcome to our Thursday
rendition of Pojo's Card of the Day! Also make sure
to check out my channel for some recently uploaded
content! Today we're taking a look at one of the
Choten's right hand men, the one, the only, Aqua
Seneschal!
Name: Aqua Seneschal
Civilization: Water
Type: Creature
Race: Cyber Lord
Level: 3
Power: 2000
Flavor Text: "What kind of creature betrays
his own kind?" Bob asked. "One of the smartest,"
Seneschal replied.
Rarity: Common
Set Number: 36/165 I 3RIS
Abilities:
Choten's Advisor- Whenever this creature
attacks, you may draw a card.
If you come from a game like
Yu-Gi-Oh! then when you first saw this card you were
shocked. It attacks and I get to draw a card? No
fooling?! Yeah, honestly it is that good! Seneschal
only costs you three mana to cast him and by turn
four most people tend to either have a wide open
battle zone to attack or they have a piece of
removal so that they can swing freely and draw that
extra card!
2000 power is appropriate for a
Level 3 creature but becomes even better once you
get a few swings in with this guy; he just generates
advantage. You can even wait for your opponent to
attack you with a smaller creature and next turn you
can swing over or trade off with their creature and
still benefit off of it.
It also helps that Seneschal is
a Cyber Lord. He's able to get a boost from Finbarr
if you use him and he can evolve into Emperor Neuron
or Axon with ease! The biggest issue that he faces
is removal. Just about every piece of removal will
get rid of Seneschal and he's an obvious target for
players. The longer he remains in the battle zone,
the more likely you are to win.
There's not much else to
say about this card, it's a staple in just
about every deck that runs the Water Civilization.
He may see some less play once Infernus the Awakened
hits the tournament scene but until then this guy
will continue to see tons of play!
Ratings:
Constructed: 4.25/5.00
(An amazing card! The only reason it doesn't get a
perfect rating is that it can die to just about
anything and you have to wait a turn to attack with
it.)
Limited: 4.50/5.00 (In
Limited he allows you to get to your combo pieces
and answers quicker with each shield or creature he
takes down.)
Tomorrow's card isn't a traitor
like Seneschal per se, but I could see how some
people could get the two confused! Until next time,
keep calm and game on!
