Welcome back to Pojo’s Card of
the Day! Today we’ll be looking at another card that
a lot of people are running in their decks and can
completely devastate your opponent in the right
situation. Today’s card is Skull Shatter.
Name: Skull Shatter
Civilization: Darkness
Type: Spell
Race: N/A
Level: 8
Power: N/A
Flavor Text: “You weren’t going to anything
useful with those ideas, anyway.” -Alakshmi
Rarity: Rare
Set Number: 92/165 l 3RIS
Abilities:
Your opponent discards his or her hand.
Pretty right to the point,
Skull Shatter doesn’t mess around! You play this
card and your opponent’s hand goes away. To make
things worse for your opponent, try reading the
flavor text after you play the card… I imagine
someone sitting across from you is going to be quite
“salty”.
Early game this card is usually
going into your mana zone and this card is usually
really bad against a rush style deck. The best time
to use this card is when you’re playing against a
control deck that likes to draw a lot of cards. In
the right match up you can usually discard between
3-6 cards on average but there’s honestly no limit
to the damage that you can wreak upon your opponent!
The other ideal situation is to fetch this card off
of a Crystal Memory to set up for that big push
against your opponent.
If you’re not using a ton of
discard cards in your deck currently (like Fumes,
Razorkinder Puppet, or Specter Claw) then this will
tend to benefit you more in the long run. I
understand getting small pushes in advantage against
your opponent, but there’s nothing more satisfying
than getting rid of five or more cards from your
opponents hand with one card.
Ratings:
Constructed: 4.00/5.00
(Gets rid of potential answers your opponent might
have and if your opponent is playing a slower deck
it will prove to be more effective against them.
Amazing to play, devastating to have it played
against you.)
Limited: 4.00/5.00
(Great against slower players and can deal with a
lot of potential threats.)
Have a great weekend everyone;
see you back here again on Monday morning! Until
next time my fellow Kaijudo Duel Masters, keep calm
and game on!
