Episode #145 - A New Evil 1

As the episode begins, Rex Raptor and Weevil Underwood bump into each other in Domino City. Both want a shot at the Egyptian God Cards, and bump into a strangely dressed man while racing down the street. The man, whose name is Gurimo, speaks several strange words and proclaims that the two of them will

lose their souls before activating a new model of duel disk. Yugi and co., meanwhile, go to the museum, where Yugi holds the Egyptian God cards up to the tablet of the Pharaoh. He hears a strange voice, and suddenly energy lances from the cards into the tablet. Yugi feels the cards growing weaker, and the tablet is incased in a crystalline material. Everyone hears a scream, and they go outside to find duel monsters everywhere. Everyone is running around scared, except for Rex and Weevil, who stand as if in a trance and utter a strange prophecy about the Age of Destruction and a mysterious Great Beast. The gang goes to Kaiba Corp., figuring that Kaiba has something to do with it, but everyone else had the same idea. Later, at the game shop, Grandpa is cleaning the God Cards while the gang watches TV upstairs. Everyone is puzzled by the monster sightings, when they hear a commotion downstairs. They find Grandpa on the floor and the God Cards gone.

Joey runs outside just in time to see Obelisk the Tormentor appear in the sky. The rest of the gang comes out to see him joined by Slifer the Sky Dragon and the Winged Dragon of Ra. Suddenly, a trio of bikers shows up, and

reveal that they stole the cards. Yugi and co. follow them to a rooftop, where Yugi is challenged to duel by Gurimo. After a few turns, Gurimo reveals the ultimate magic card: the Seal of Orichalcos, which only the victor of the duel can exit. When the duel ends, the loser loses their soul.

It also gives his monsters a 500 point power boost. Yugi draws out Valkyrion

the Magna Warrior, but Gurimo calls out Obelisk the Tormentor. Not only is it to powerful for Valkyrion to overcome, but it also gains power from the Seal of Orichalcos, fusing one of the most powerful creatures that ever existed with the most powerful force ever imagined.
