Beastly Mage

Pain (Deva Path)

Today we're taking a look at a new Starter Exclusive Deva Path. Notice that it's got one dot (like the Uncommons) with a Super Rare shine...

This Deva Path has the usual stats. It's a T6 with 1 Hand Cost and a Sacrifice Requirement of 1 Ninja or Client. Besides that, he's also got the other normal stats, such as being 8/4-7/2 with Satoosa rank. As with the usual Deva Path Effects, this one relies on your Turn Marker. During your EoJ you can move your Marker down by X to make an Opposing Ninja with an Entrance Cost of X go Stand-By. Being able to push back a Ninja without paying from your Chakra is good. As an added bonus, his Valid Effect makes your Turn Marker be both odd and even at the same time. Think about it: Many of the other Pains rely on your Turn Marker being either odd or even to have their effects kick in. This will allow you to take advantage of their effects easily. The new Pain deck looks pretty awesome if you ask me.
