Beastly Mage

Pain (Asura Path)

(Halloween Week Theme Thursday: Clive Barker's Tortured Souls)

Today's card is one of the Six Paths. This Asura Path fits in with the -1/-1 Decks as well as Void and Akatsuki decks in general. Besides having the usual Sacrifice part, the killer Combat stats for his Turn Cost and all the other things that make Asura Path cool, he's also got an effect that may combine with the Madara -1/-1 Coin Deck effects. When Asura Path is in the same team as two ore more Akatsuki or Rinnegan Ninjas and attacks, you get to Injure a Ninja and place a -1/-1 Coin on that Ninja. The effect doesn't specify if it's any one of your Opponent's Ninjas or one Ninja blocking this team, but it's still pretty good. Take into consideration: he's got 8 Combat in both positions.

Only problem (for some) is preparing his team. But, if you're running an Akatsuki or a Void Deck, that shouldn't be a problem. Try it and see!
