based on a 1 to 5 scale.
1 being the worst.
3 = average.
5 is the highest rating.
Today's card is a Water/Void Kakuzu. He's a T5 with
1 Hand Cost that can pack a surprise or two. During
the Exchange of Jutsu (any) you can pay one Chakra
and you'll get an effect depending on what symbols
were on that card (note that it's "symbols" and not
"symbol"). If that card had a Lightning Symbol he
gets +2/+2 (not that bad, but not that good either),
if the card has Wind you get to heal a Ninja (not
just himself). If there's any other Symbol he
doesn't receive any sort of Damage during the turn.
This is a pretty good version of Kakuzu, even if he
doesn't bring out the Four Souls by his effect.
Still, a quite decent Starter Deck Exclusive.

IT'S FRIDAY FRI-......no one? well anyway,
fridays card is one that has an extra four souls....Kakazu
Kakazu has a very flexible ability during the jutsu
step, you can discard a chakra to give him one of 3
abilities, if its lightning kakazu gets a 2 point
increase, if wind you can heal anyone, if any other
kakazu cant recieve damage this turn. Kakazu has the
expected 6/3 healthy status of a turn 5 ninja. Being
void and having ambush means Kakazu could expand to
any element he wants, not a common thing for a turn
5 with hand cost.
Void-in the set 20 format, kakazu would only compete
with pain asura path, but in the 21 format kakazu
will most likely compete with sharkman kisame, and
kisame is a much more solid option over the likley
Water-damage protection isnt the most desired effect
in water, but its not a terrible one, especially
with the second hokage supremacy to feed him, not a
bad option to dedicate a slot or two.
Wind-Heal is something wind is very good at doing,
but that doesnt mean kakazu wont be a valued
addition. Turn 5 is a slot that wind doesnt have
much competition outside of kurenai, if you're a
wind player, id advise looking here for turn 5.
Lightning-dont get me wrong, an 8/5 is nothing to
underestimate. But if you are a lightning player,
you know kakashi and mighty guy are heavy hitters.
and set 21 promises a few more options for that
Block: Void-2/5 (not a great card) Water-3/5 (has
potential, but nothing flashy) Wind-4/5 (1 chakra
heal on command is pretty sweet) Lightning-2/5
(takes backseat to a couple guys)
