Beastly Mage

Deidara

Today's card is an Earth/Void version of Deidara. At turn 4 he's pretty good. He's got no Hand Cost, and he's got Ambush. His effect fits well with the new Akatsuki theme. If all of your Ninjas are "Void" (even if it's the second symbol) you get to give one damage to one of your opponent's Ninjas (this is during your Mission Phase at the cost of two Chakras of any color). Your opponent can avoid the damage by moving your Turn Marker up by 1. So, your opponent will be in a tight spot: either have a Ninja take damage, or allow you to move closer to bringing out a big hitter. To top it all off, he's a common.

DIMHWT

Todays card is my favorite of the entire akatsuki set of 21....Deidara

for two chakra during your mission phase, if your entire village is void ninja, you chose one ninja of your opponents to give damage to unless they move your turn marker up by 1. Deidara boasts a very impressive 6/2 healthy status, meaning he is in the highest tier of combat for turn 4.

Void-I feel that in the set 20 format, void was not up to the task of keeping up with wind and water. I think deidara is a step in the right direction. I think that the set 21 format can do no splashing to use deidaras effect each turn, and with other cards in this set deidara promises to be a very intresting card.

Limited-NA/5 (yep, this ones a starter card too....)
constructed: Void-4/5 (only useable in void, but currently the best card void has on turn 4)

I'm DIMHWT, and this was the naruto card of the day, see you tomorrow ;)
