Beastly Mage

Reconfirmation of the Mission

Today's card is a very nice mission for Fire. It kills missions AND permanent missions on both sides. Very good indeed. It also has a situational effect that's good too: if you discard at least two cards because of this mission, you draw two cards.

There's a variety of situations where this mission can be used, even though it's a turn 4. Though, it's at about this turn where the game starts getting interesting, IMO. Try it and see!

Constructed: 3/5

M-596 Reconfirmation of the Mission

Always bad at the beginning of the week, but at least I'm here now. Also, softball is not baseball, no matter what girls think.

Today's card is one I had high hopes for, and it's really not a bad card, but it's not what we all hoped it would be. Let's check out it's stats, shall we:

Reconfirmation of the Mission
T:4 HC:1 Fire
Counter
Effect: Discard all in-play Permanent Missions and/or Clients. If 2 or more cards are discarded due to this effect, draw 2 cards.

What really kills this card is one thing, it's turn cost. At T4, it's really hard to hit some of the earlier game cards, especially if you don't go first. While being T4 is really like being T3 since it's a counter card, there's a lot of missions that go off before you get the chance to play this. And as a side note, since it kills your missions as well, you need to make sure you don't have out/don't mind losing your Michiru or JLDC.

It honestly does what it should well, just not early enough to really impact the board when it counts. If it was T2 or even T3, I'd really like it, as it's nice draw and mission removal. This card might see more play after rotation when Suprise and LAR are gone and we need more missions for fire.

Limited: 1.5/5 What are we stopping here?
Constructed: 3/5 Lots of good missions to kill here
Block: 2.75/5 Not as much to hit here, but still really good
Art: So Sai likes reading...yeah, that's really cool Sai/5
