Beastly Mage

Choji Akimichi

Today's card is a Chunin version of Choji. It's not that bad, considering that it's got a nice pump-up effect. Problem is that you need at least 5 cards in your Chakra area to get it to kick in. In Limited this could be no problem. In Constructed and Block, however... that's a problem. With Chakra Control going around like crazy, this guy won't be seeing much play. Other than that, not much more to say...

Limited: 2/5
Constructed: 1.5/5
Block: 1.5/5 (better options here)

Choji Akimichi
[Feeling of Fullness]

"Feeling of fullness?" Seriously? How about just "Feeling Full?" They come up with the weirdest effect names sometimes.

Another Choji, and yet another one that won't see play. Everyone uses Moving or the coin killer Choji. Don't see why you'd want this Choji in your deck. Like normal he suffers from "Sasuke Syndrome" (dropping to 0/0), and his effect is a small boost. Have 5 chakra and you get +2...yay. He's a potential 7/0 on turn 3 as long as you aren't using your chakra. Keep him protected, because he drops like a rock. In limited this Choji can be used well. Beatsticks really help. Card box fodder otherwise...

Choji, when will we get a decent Shippuden version of you?

Limited: 4/5. Possible 7/0 on turn 3 with no handcost? Why not?
Block: 1.5/5 Better Chojis. No need for this one.
Unlimited: 1.5/5 Same as above.
