Giant Tiger

Review Date: Jan. 21, 2010

Average Card Rating

Constructed: 2.85
Limited: 3.33

Ratings are based on a 1 to 5 scale.
1 being the worst.
3 = average.
5 is the highest rating.

Beastly Mage

Giant Tiger

Today's card is a simple one, good for Animal decks. Giant Tiger gets +1/+1 for each of your "Animal" Ninjas. That means that even Kiba (with the "Animal" characteristic) can pump him up. It doesn't have another effect though the one it has is Valid. Not much more to say...

Limited: 3/5
Constructed: 2/5

N 696 Giant Tiger [WILD POWER]

Man, I have been sadly sick the past few days, but at least today, I'm in good enough shape to eat food, so I can do a review for this beast.

Today's card is another "I didn't think they'd make that a card" ninjas, I'm pretty sure they're from the Forest of Death, on the Paralysis Jutsu or something...oh well, let's check out it's stats, shall we:

T0 HC 0 Fire
Tiger I Animal
3/0 0/0 CA: Fang
Set 15 Common

Fire finally gets another T0, and it's really not great. It does have some synergy with Circus Rush as well as Kiba/Akamaru, but beyond that, it's not great. With 3/0, it's as good as any other ninja we'd run for that turn, but it lacks the potential of other T0 ninjas that are ran (Kiba and Shino into Shiba, Naruto for nearly same stats and a free great client, Sasuke being growth'd, ect...) But let's check out it's effect, shall we:

Valid: This Ninja gets +1/+1 for each of your other in-play "Animal" Ninjas.

Again, works well with Kiba/Aka and others, but will really work well with the set of pups we're getting next set. I'm not a huge fan of this effect, but it's a solid card that really works for some formats.

Limited:4/5 Strong T0s are great here.
Constructed: 3/5 Still good here, but not as needed.
Block: 3/5 Circus is still here, and soon so will the pups, which will make this a decent card.
Art: So, anything in the show can be a ninja now? Good to know, good to know...this does pave the way for Sasuke's cats though!/5

Today's card is everyone's favorite tiger ninja, the creatively named, Giant Tiger. His effect gives him a +1/+1 boost for every animal you have on the field making him a potential early game powerhouse in Animal/Circus decks. This card will even be better next set with the new ninja-dogs coming out.

Limited: 3/5 Turn 0 with 3 combat is really good in limited play.
Constructed: 3.5/5 Really good in Dog/Circus Decks

Stay tuned for tomorrow, as we review our first Set 16 preview!!!!!!!!!!
